Educational content My name is Heather Herring, owner of UD-P Therapy.
I first got involved in horses back in 2019 when I met a little cart horse morgan and began barrel racing. I became dedicating to educating and training for the next few years purchasing rescues and even doing some resales. That is, until meeting my main horse. He wasn't just a typical retraining and building calories, he had a severe muscle issue making him unrideable which stemmed from a dental

In case anyone was wondering what I do between clients🤣 no I cant jump but I can make an attempt, these 2 absolutely love going over fences but this is a first taking them both together
Rocket making a 1D run, 10th/76 on top of other placings. Hes pretty cool❤️ we do leg stretches, neck stretches, and some basic light bodywork to loosen things up before every run (after we warm up) and they really help get him flexible!
Heres a pretty neat before and after from 1 bodywork session!
This guy was sent to 30 days training with a barrel racing peer I know, the owners said he had refused to turn left and they had hoped in the 30 days to get him better. While he made small improvements, he still out right refused. My understanding being this before video not being the worst they had seen - he would immediately spin to the right and throw his head in the air and it was near impossible to get him back on the left once he had started.
After one bodywork session, they noted he was far more relaxed and were able to lunge him in a small circle to the left with ease and a slightly more relaxed headset than previously. By the next day, they put a ride on him and we can see him trotting a large circle to the left without too much of a fight.
Now imagine how big of a transformation consistent bodywork can do!
We do have some variations in tack here, however the point still stands as this horse would do it on the ground, undersaddle, ba****ck, halter, bit, etc so it is pretty neat to see him slowly come around.

Quietude by Qulture these products have really helped my photos stand out, and offers functionality to help protect the feet! The CBD benefits in the products such as shampoo, liniment, and treats have really helped my performance horses recovery and arthritic mares movement.
The pastes have even helped a few of my less agreeable client horses😉

From young to senior, mini to donkey to even horse, quarter horse to arabian, we've got feet pics for everyone yesterday as i worked through my team
Yesterday was a long day 🫣
Started the morning tacking on a shoe, before heading for 2 trims. Not too shabby, right?
Got a 2 hour break after that to pop home for the chiropractor and ride Johnny and Stormy.
After thats when it got busy! Swung over for 1 donkey, and then made it to the last stop! 9 trims including a large draft! Finished the last horse at 1:30am to make it home at 2:30 in the morning! Knew it'd be a long night but we got er done when the barn needed a last second trim on everyone!
13 horses done, beats my record by 1😝 im feeling it today though

Everyone meet Nico! Did you know donkey care is often skipped? Donkeys need many of the same things horses need!
Dental yearly, farrier work every 4 to 6 weeks, and even bodywork consistently! Many donkeys ive worked with that appear stubborn often just need a little bodywork to realize muscle tension! They can be in pain too!!
Please dont skip out on donkey health care to save money! Dental and farrier work are espeacily important but im sure they wouldnt mind a spa day either 😉
Little Nico here really needed his teeth done, he was long overdue. And because one of his prior homes used to drag him by the ears instead of haltering, this combination led to some pretty severe poll and neck tension. I haven't done a full session on him yet because im still working to earn his trust, however im sure ill find more as I continue to work through his fear.
