I think chemical peels have a bit of a PR problem. 😂

Say “chemical peel” and a lot of people immediately picture a bright red face followed by a week of their skin peeling off.

And yes, there ARE peel options where visible peeling and downtime can be expected. But that's not every chemical peel.

I have different options depending on your skin, what we're trying to improve, and how much downtime you're actually comfortable with. And you don't have to physically peel for a chemical peel to be doing something for your skin.

So if you've been curious about chemical peels but the actual PEELING part has kept you from trying one...you've got options.

Bringing this one back because it still cracks me up. 😂

This was my nephew's first facial last summer and the commentary the entire time was...a lot.

“It's gonna hurt.”
“That stuff smells like booty.”
And then finding out he's supposed to wear sunscreen EVERY DAY.

His flabbers were gasted. 😂

If you've got a teen who's a little nervous about getting their first facial, maybe don't show them this one actually. I'm not sure he helped my case. 😂

Okay, can we talk about the fall skincare panic for a minute? 😅

This time of year there is SO much content telling you what you need to swap, add, stop using, or buy for your “fall skincare routine.”

But here's the thing. Your skin doesn't know what month it is. What it may notice is the air getting drier and the heat coming on inside.

So instead of throwing out a routine that's working, pay attention to your actual skin. Feeling tighter? Drier? More easily irritated? Okay, then we may need to tweak something. If your skin still feels perfectly fine? You don't have to change things just because the season did.

And two things I'm definitely not automatically adding for fall: more exfoliation just because it's “peel season,” and putting away the SPF. 😂 UV did not leave with summer.
