Hair color fading already? Here are some things to consider 👇🏼

1. Use a color safe shampoo - this is a BIG one. Look for labels that include “sulfate-free” and “color safe”. Sulfates strip color molecules from hair, so be sure to avoid them.

2. Sun Exposure - UV rays can break down color molecules over time. Now that it’s summertime, be sure to wear a hat or use products that offer UV protection.

3. Wash with cool water - This is especially for those with vivid hair color. Washing with cold water keeps the cuticle sealed, preventing premature color fading.

4. Limit Heat Styling - excessive heat styling over time can leave the hair porous, making it harder to keep color in. Always use a heat protectant when using hot tools.
