What is a lotion bar?
These are solid at room temperature like a bar of soap, but when rubbed on the skin, a tiny amount melts and is transferred to the skin, leaving a highly moisturizing and very thin layer.

This is by far one of my favorite scrubs! It feels so silky on my skin and smells amazing!

But what is an emulsifying sugar scrub? It is a skincare product that combines sugar granules with emulsifying agents, allowing it to mix with water and form a creamy consistency when applied to the skin. The sugar exfoliates the skin, removes dead cells, and promotes a smoother texture, while the emulsifying agents help the scrub rinse off easily without leaving a greasy residue. This type of scrub provides both exfoliation and hydration.

Lets talk preservatives!

It sounds like such a nasty word, but it doesn't have to be! Normally, I don't like to use any in my products, but there are some instances where I need to, like my scrubs.

This is because some ingredients are water-based or the product will come into contact with water, like in the shower. Preservatives are generally necessary in these products to prevent microbial contamination.

To make sure all my products are still all natural and organic, I use Leucidal Liquid SF. This is a natural, plant-based preservative. It is derived from the fermentation of radishes with Leuconostoc kimchii, which is a lactic acid bacteria. This fermentation process produces peptides, organic acids, and antimicrobial compounds that help inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms in cosmetic products.
