The Acne Treatment Center

The Acne Treatment Center is pleased to let you know that we have reopened to seeing clients in person. There are a lot of state mandated regulations that we must follow and some things are just good practice in a time of pandemic, so we are operating a bit differently than we used to. We apologize if this makes us seem less-friendly, but we need to keep all of our clients as safe as we can. We have been working the kinks out of our system for the last month and are feeling a bit more confident in our new routines.

Here are some of the changes it is important for you to know about.

• We have been certified through new accredited courses in helping stop the transmission of the coronavirus.
• We have acquired the necessary protective equipment (PPE) to keep everyone as safe as possible.
• We have undertaken a deep cleaning and sanitizing of the clinic.
• We have extended time between appointments in order to completely sanitize the treatment rooms between every client.
• We are no longer be able to see clients on Sundays.
• We have extended the other six days by starting a little earlier in the morning to try to accommodate as many clients as possible with respect to the lengthening of appointments.
• We are staggering our appointment times so no one will be checking out at the same time as another person.
• Every esthetician is now wearing scrubs instead of street clothes, and changing the covering garments (lab coats, aprons, gowns) between every client. We are covering our hair and sanitizing our shoes.
We are wearing masks. When treating a client, we are also wearing face shields.
• We have equipped all treatment rooms with medical grade HEPA air purifiers that will create five complete air changes per hour.
• We have streamlined our check in process. You will now be able to sign the release on-line. We will email you the connection in your reminder email.
• Now more than ever it is important that you be on time for your appointment. We have so many more things to do now than we used to that there isn’t much wiggle room. If you anticipate being more than five minutes late, you must call so we can let you know if we will still be able to squeeze you in.
• Our intake now includes questions related to COVID-19. We strongly recommend you look at these questions as soon as you receive them. These must be answered prior to entering the clinic. If you are unable to answer them on line, we can give you a paper form, but you will have to be ten minutes early for your appointment to fill it out.
• One of the questions on the COVID form has to do with travel. If you have traveled out of the area, especially via air or rail, we may have to have you wait two weeks before coming in.
• Our waiting room is closed to reduce the number of people in the clinic. When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you wait in your car and call us. When your treatment room is ready, we will call you to come in. We will take your temperature and have you apply hand sanitizer; then we will take you directly to your treatment room.
• While we have always asked that you reschedule if you are feeling ill, we are now turning people away from appointments if they have symptoms of illness but come in anyway.
• As per state regulations, if you become ill during an appointment we are required to have you leave, and recommend you seek coronavirus testing.
• Masks are required for everyone. If you don’t have one, we will provide you with one.
