The big blessing in the delay was that I'm expecting a baby boy! I am a high-risk pregnancy and was struggling with HG in my first trimester. I was in and out of the ER getting fluids, so very sick in the thick of summer, so we decided to put a hold on opening up in 2025💔.

I felt so overwhelmed and heartbroken about the sudden change in my biggest plan for the year, but I knew i needed to slow down & focus on my health…

Still,God is so good because the talented girls we hired are staying loyal and will be ready to go when we are. Actually, I'm going to have to hire some more because we're going the storefront route next time! 💖

Full transparency, the studio thing wasn't a good fit for how big I wanted to do things. I felt really stifled by the studio rules, and to be completely honest, I was VERY grateful for the space but I'm not in the business to be like an ordinary typical studio experience.

Anyway, I am proud to say that all kinds of people have been and still are contacting me about booking appointments because they're so excited about the space I created! That means a lot! So I figured it was time to share here with everyone. Once baby boy is here and I'm all healed up and ready to jam, we'll start this thing back up for real!! 🫶🏾 I love you all so much! 💅Happy National Nail Tech Day to all the inspirational amazingly creative NAIL BO$$ES out there!!💅

My first serious nail tech job was working at a salon in the valley I saw inside of Nail Pro magazine when I was beauty school. A dream job for me at the time!
I applied and forgot all about the position, I was working at JCPenny’s catalog counter when I got a last minute call to work a party at Fred Segals/ Ron Robinson’s on sunset blvd as my interview.

Celebrities were going to tell the owner if I was good 😵. Lisa Rinna & Taylor from RHOBH were some of those people!
You guys, I was SOOOOO nervous 🤯 💩 lol!
I got out of my car and 2 gigantic cameras were in my face, 🎥SURPRISE! My boss’s assistant told me they were filming a reality show by the same people as Jersey shore! (Talk about ALOT of pressure for an interview!)

Needless to say, I got hired after the event. What an experience.. what a start!!

Very thankful for that opportunity though because it really helped me gain skills I couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. Same goes for every place I’ve ever worked.

Now I am hiring for nail techs for , I am so excited to help other nail bosses start their journey or continue it. I’ve been in the nail industry many many years and I will always have a special place in my heart for doing nails! 💖💅
