Today we celebrate two wonderful members of our White Oak Village family - our resident Ileana, and our caregiver Kiearra! ♥️

Both Ileana and Kiearra have a beautiful aura that brightens our community in their own special ways. They bring kindness and light to those around them, and we are thankful for each of them and the joy they bring to us!

🔪🍉 Training Never Stops at White Oak Village 🍉🔪

Yesterday, our kitchen team came together for a hands-on training focused on knife skills, produce breakdown, and culinary fundamentals.

The team practiced small dice, medium dice, large dice, julienne, chiffonade, proper melon breakdown, and even some garnish work with green onions. 👨‍🍳

One of our residents, Jim, has become somewhat of a legend in the kitchen. He's very particular about his melon — no rind, uniform cuts, and every piece bite-sized. Safe to say, our chefs know the standard they're aiming for! 😄🍈

Investing in our team means investing in our residents. Every new skill learned helps us continue delivering the high-quality dining experience our residents deserve, one perfectly cut piece of melon at a time. 💜

As one of our amazing cooks, Kayla not only keeps our residents well-fed with delicious meals and baked treats, but she also brightens up our community with her caring heart, beautiful smile, and friendly personality.

Chef Jenine and her mom, Mira, recently brought a cherished family recipe for "Breakfast Cookies" to White Oak Village.

With a little help from residents Barbie and Shirley, the cookies were baked and shared with both residents and staff — and we can confirm, they were absolutely delicious! 😋

Moments like these are what make White Oak special. Sharing recipes, traditions, and time together helps turn a community into a family.
