As many of you know, I graduated from cosmetology school in January. Today was my third attempt at taking the written portion of my state board written exam. I haven’t shared much about this part of my journey because passing this one test has been a challenge for me.

That being said, I am proud of the progress I’ve made. I improved my score from my last attempt, which shows that all of my hard work is paying off. While this obstacle has been frustrating at times, it does not define who I am as a stylist. Every setback is simply another step closer to success.

I made a promise to myself that I would not take this test more than four times, and I am determined to make my next attempt count. I am incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received from my future salon, my friends, my family, and my clients. You’re the reason why I keep going, Your encouragement means more than you will ever know.

I know I am talented at what I do. The destination is clear, I’m just working through the challenges of getting there. Thank you all for believing in me and supporting me every step of the way. I’ll be back soon, stronger and more prepared than ever.
