Glass Hair Design
Brilliance that reflects you!!!
“The most important thing a woman can have is her hairdresser.” — Dolly Parton 🤍
Coming from Dolly, those words mean a little extra to all of us who have spent our lives behind the chair. She understood that a hairdresser is never just a hairdresser. We become confidants, cheerleaders, keepers of stories, and sometimes family. We’re there for the first dates, weddings, new jobs, heartbreaks, reinventions and everything in between.
Dolly gave the world so much more than music. She gave us humor, generosity, glamour, kindness and a beautiful example of loving people exactly as they are.
From all of us at Glass Hair Design, thank you, Dolly. Your sparkle will never fade, and you will be deeply missed. 🦋✨💇🏾♀️
Jessica came in ready for a refresh! ✨ Root retouch with Redken 7N + 6NW equal parts, 20vol, plus Flash Lift + 30vol highlights. A soft layered cut and effortless beach waves brought it all together. Sun-kissed, dimensional & gorgeous! 🌊✨
🏆✨ 30 YEARS, AND NOW THE EMMYS! ✨🏆
I couldn’t be prouder of my longtime client and friend Brenda Maben on her Emmy nomination! 🎉
For 30 years, Brenda has sat in my chair, but our creative relationship has gone far beyond hair. Over the years, she’s made several incredible costumes for me, including one of my absolute favorites, Evilene, the Wicked Witch from The Wiz. 🧙🏾♀️✨
And now we’ve come full circle. Brenda just asked me to create her GLAM for the Emmy red carpet! 💄💇🏾♀️✨
From my chair, to her sewing machine, to the EMMY RED CARPET… this one feels extra special. ❤️
Congratulations, Brenda! Your talent, creativity and decades of beautiful work deserve to be celebrated. Now let’s get you RED CARPET READY! 🏆✨🥂
Fresh back from NYC, David stopped by for a refresh! We recreated his signature crochet braided Mohawk and custom-matched the braids to his incredible natural silver-grey hair. Bold, seamless, and uniquely him. ✨

Four years ago today, our paths crossed.
On August 5, 2022, I had the pleasure of meeting Anne Heche. Looking back at this photo, I’m reminded that some encounters feel bigger than chance. We pass through one another’s lives for moments we may never fully understand, yet those moments can stay with us forever.
Life has a way of weaving people together through what often feels like an invisible, universal design. Sometimes we don’t recognize the significance until much later.
I’m truly saddened that Anne is no longer with us. My heart goes out to everyone who loved her. I hope her spirit has found peace, healing, and endless light on its journey.
This photo is a quiet reminder to cherish the people we meet, to be present in the moment, and to never underestimate how meaningful even a brief connection can become.
May your soul continue to shine, Anne. Thank you for the moment our paths crossed. Rest in peace, and may you always walk in the light. ✨🕊️

For over 25 years I’ve had the privilege of doing the hair of the incredibly talented landscape architect Joseph Marek. Seeing him celebrated alongside the legendary Martha Stewart at Lotusland Celebrates: Botanical Splendor is a beautiful reminder that creativity grows in every field. So proud of you, Joseph! 🌿✨

For more than 20 years, I had the honor of doing the hair of the incomparable Ramona Ripston. She was brilliant, fearless, compassionate, and one of the most influential civil rights leaders our city has ever known.
Every time I look at Judith Light, I can’t help but see the grace, intelligence, strength, and presence needed to bring Ramona’s story to life.
Ramona dedicated her life to fighting for justice, equality, and the rights of those whose voices often went unheard. Her story deserves to be shared with new generations, and I can think of no one better to honor her legacy than Judith Light.
Who’s with me?
This curly-haired baddie came in for a little maintenance and left serving inches! ✨ We trimmed those ends, gave her a smooth blowout and silky flatiron finish, and kept every bit of that gorgeous length. Healthy hair is always the goal! 💁🏽♀️🔥
