There are many new faces here on my Instagram, so I wanted to share an updated post about myself! I’m the artist behind Laura Zavala Makeup—a self-taught makeup artist dedicated to helping women feel their most confident and beautiful selves for any occasion, with a special focus on bridal makeup. I provide makeup services throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, bringing a personal touch to every client I work with.

Born and raised in Ventura County, I love this beautiful area and feel so lucky to call it home. Makeup has always been a passion of mine, and what started as a hobby in 2015 quickly turned into a full-time freelance career. Ten years later, I’m living my dream of being a professional makeup artist. The most rewarding part of my job isn’t just creating beauty—it’s about enhancing the beauty that’s already there. Every woman deserves to feel like the best version of herself, and being part of that transformation is something I’ll never take for granted. Even after all these years, it still feels incredible to be part of such special moments.

Beyond the artistry, I’m so grateful for the incredible vendor relationships I’ve built along the way—many of which have turned into true friendships. Having people who continue to speak my name in a room full of opportunity means the world to me, and I’ll never stop appreciating that support.

When I’m not behind the brushes, I’m a wife, mom, and lover of all things that keep me grounded. I enjoy daily walks with my dog, Lola, a steaming cup of coffee, at-home workouts, and diving into a good fantasy fiction novel. Southern California is where we call home, and we love exploring all the beauty the area has to offer.

I had the best time getting the lovely Angelica ready bright and early for her intimate Santa Barbara courthouse wedding!
