Following pre care, being honest about changes to your skin, and following aftercare all play a part in your healed results.

This isn’t unique to permanent makeup. We already understand this with other beauty services.
A nail tech can create a beautiful manicure, but they can’t control what happens after you leave.
A hairstylist can create beautiful color, but your at home care affects how it holds up.
Permanent makeup works the same way.

I want to point something out because this is something a lot of people don’t realize…

Not all microblading is the same.
You can go to two different microblading artists and get two completely different results. The same service name does not mean the same style, technique, or finished look.

Every artist has their own approach, their own style, and their own type of work they specialize in.
Just because you know you want microblading doesn’t mean every artist’s version of microblading will look the same.

The same goes for ombré brows, combo brows, and every other brow style.
The most important question isn’t :
“How much is it?”
It’s:
“What style of brows does this artist specialize in?”
Before choosing an artist, look at their actual work and make sure their style matches the look you want.
Because the right artist isn’t just about the service you’re getting it’s about the result you’re trying to achieve.

Most people won’t remember every single step of their appointment, but they will remember how they felt while they were in your space.

Making sure my clients are comfortable, listening when something feels off, grabbing a blanket before they even have to ask, those moments are just as important as the microblading & brows themselves.

Clients book the microblading service, but the care is the experience they remember.

The funny thing about this moment is I was so focused on making sure my client had eaten that I completely forgot my own Pre-Care instructions for a second. 😂

I always ask my clients if they’ve eaten before their appointment. Not because every appointment is the same, but because every person is different and we never know exactly how long appointment may go. I want my clients coming in feeling prepared, comfortable, and taken care of. And a good breakfast along with staying hydrated the days leading up to your appointment can help in so many aspects. How your skin responds & heals along with how you as the client feel during the service.

And then there I was asking, “Did you have coffee?” 
Cue me realizing… wait… that’s literally one of the things I tell my clients not to have. It’s literally in my Pre-Care instructions.
Yes, to know me is to love me;)

We both got such a laugh out of it.
But honestly, these little moments are my favorite. The conversations, the trust, and the comfort my clients feel with me are just as important to me as the brows themselves. 🤍

When the weather changes, your skin changes too… and sometimes that means I need to adjust my approach.

Your skin doesn’t stay exactly the same all the time. Weather, your environment, stress, lifestyle, and what your skin is doing can all make a difference in how it heals.
We’ve been having a heat wave here in Ventura, and our skin just isn’t used to these warmer temperatures yet. Because every client and every situation is different, I adjusted my client’s aftercare instructions this time to better support what her skin needed.

I don’t believe in giving everyone the exact same instructions and sending them on their way. I take the time to look at the whole picture, explain the why behind your aftercare, and make sure you feel comfortable during the healing process.

Your appointment doesn’t end when you leave my studio. The care continues through the healing process. 🤍
