We don’t need proof to decide that something feels wrong.
Because sometimes, by the time we have proof… it’s too late.
And no, you are NOT being dramatic for removing yourself from a situation that makes you uncomfortable.

I think women especially are taught from a young age to be polite. Smile. Be nice. Don’t make a scene. Don’t be rude.
I know I was raised with the idea that women should be seen and not heard. Sit there. Be pretty. Be nice.

And I think sometimes that gets so ingrained in us that we worry more about being perceived as rude than we do about listening to our own instincts.
Please don’t.

If something feels off, you are allowed to leave. You are allowed to make yourself safe. You are allowed to call someone. You are allowed to be “rude” if that’s what it takes to protect yourself.
That isn’t being dramatic.
That’s listening to your gut.

And sometimes, your gut knows something your brain hasn’t caught up to yet. 🖤

I recently saw something in our industry that really bothered me, and I want to talk about something bigger than the situation itself.
I’m intentionally not naming anyone because this isn’t about bringing attention to a particular artist. It’s about something I think we need to address as an industry.
I really can’t stand bullying in this industry.
We need to be very careful about the difference between educating someone and publicly humiliating or embarrassing them.
Could there have been a better technical approach to the situation being discussed? Absolutely. There are always techniques, tools, variables, and choices that can be discussed. That’s how we learn.
But there is a huge difference between saying, “Here’s another approach that may have helped,” and publicly recreating someone’s content in a way that invites thousands of people to judge or discredit them.
Especially when you have a large platform and call yourself an educator.
If you see a newer artist make a mistake, or something you disagree with, you have an opportunity to teach. Send a DM. Explain your reasoning. Give them another perspective.
That’s education.
And when we’re talking about caffeine, bleeding, alcohol, medications, skin response, and PMU procedures, we also need to be careful with blanket statements.
One client’s response does not automatically predict another client’s response. There are countless variables that can affect what happens during a procedure.
So yes, challenge information. Question things. Have professional discussions. We should absolutely be able to disagree.
But if you have a platform big enough to influence thousands of artists, use that platform to educate instead of embarrass.
I don’t care how much you know, how many students or followers you have, or whether you call yourself a master, master artist, or master educator.
None of us know everything.
We are constantly learning and evolving. We should always be willing to question what we think we know and consider another perspective.
Sometimes this industry needs a little more humility.
Because being an educator isn’t just about how much knowledge you have. It’s also about how you c

I want to point something out because this is something a lot of people don’t realize…

Not all microblading is the same.
You can go to two different microblading artists and get two completely different results. The same service name does not mean the same style, technique, or finished look.

Every artist has their own approach, their own style, and their own type of work they specialize in.
Just because you know you want microblading doesn’t mean every artist’s version of microblading will look the same.

The same goes for ombré brows, combo brows, and every other brow style.
The most important question isn’t :
“How much is it?”
It’s:
“What style of brows does this artist specialize in?”
Before choosing an artist, look at their actual work and make sure their style matches the look you want.
Because the right artist isn’t just about the service you’re getting it’s about the result you’re trying to achieve.
