Today marks 4 years since I opened the doors to MJ Hair studio 💇‍♀️✨

I’m feeling incredibly grateful as I reflect on this journey. To every single client who has trusted me with your hair, supported my vision, referred a friend, shared kind words, or simply kept showing up in my chair—thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the reason this dream continues to grow.

And to the amazing ladies who have been part of this space along the way—your talent, dedication, and support helped make this salon what it is today. I truly couldn’t have done it without you 🤍

Owning this salon has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I’m so thankful for the community that’s been built here over the last four years. Here’s to continued growth, beautiful transformations, and many more years together ✨

Wrapping up my final work week before maternity leave 🤍
Next Friday the 30th will be my last day until I return in May!

This pregnancy truly flew by. I feel like I just told you all I was leaving to have CJ, and here we are again. I can’t thank you enough for the constant love, support, and understanding you show me. I say it all the time, but I genuinely do have the BEST clients, and I never take that for granted.

As I close this chapter for now, I just want you to know how much I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for being so loyal, kind, and supportive—I can’t wait to see you all when I’m back 💕

I want to give the biggest thank you to Cari for being my very first official client in my chair—and for staying with me all these years. We met in August of 2007, which means 18 years of her watching me grow up and evolve into the stylist I am today. Every appointment was filled with great conversations and constant laughter.

As she prepares to move out of state, my heart is so full yet so sad. I will miss her more than words can say. Thank you, Cari, for being my ride-or-dye through all these years. Love you so much 🫶🏼🫶🏼🥲

Clients it’s not your fault! Before entering the hair world, i thought the same thing!

They use to tell clients to “come in with dirty hair”. Stylist use to say this and it was specifically meant for updos only. Stylist felt a little grit in the hair would help the updos last longer. But we now have all the proper products to achieve almost any goal.

If you are coming in for a color or highlight with dirty hair, the oil is creating a barrier for the color to properly pe*****te through the hair. This also includes products in the hair as well. The decolorizer and or color, now have to fight through the oil and products vs clean hair, is much easier, faster and the outcome is always better!

So ladies Please! Don’t listen to that old wives tale… we loveeeee your clean hair 💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️
