Mel helps performance horses to succeed through Individualized Massage Therapy and Dressage Training
Loved working on this welsh pony because I could see such a difference from beginning to end especially in her anxiety. Amazing how massaging a horse or a pony can help with their emotions and nervous system😍
One big reason I can help any horse that has been under stress by performance/abuse/ lack of work/injury because I can access both the muscles and the emotional and mental parts of their bodies💕
I love being able to help horses in a whole body approach!
Releasing the Hyoid also releases the TMJ!
The hyoid apparatus may be small, but it has a huge influence on your horse’s movement and comfort.
Connected to the tongue, jaw, poll, neck, and shoulders through muscles and fascia, tension in the hyoid can contribute to poll stiffness, uneven contact, resistance to the bit, crookedness, and difficulty with collection.
Gentle release techniques can help reduce tension, encouraging relaxation, freer movement, and a softer connection throughout the body💕
Sometimes the key to better performance isn’t more training—it’s removing the restriction that’s been holding your horse back🤩
Jaw tension can really do some damage for the horse, if they aren’t able to release it😬
My job is to help them release it in a healthy way. I love that his tongue is moving a lot in the second technique I did!

Relaxation through hands on therapy❤️
Part 1 of Mr. Pony’s Back Muscles!
I love being able to see the difference in pony’s/horse’s backs muscles whenever I can get my hands on them. They start to release, and then they can strengthen their topline, so that they can move better 😍
Happy July 4th Everyone 🇺🇸
Another set of hamstring muscles techniques that we can do to help release tension in the hamstrings as well as inner thighs, and into the hocks!
He definitely appreciated his session with me, and moved a lot better over the next couple weeks. After a massage with me, your horse can feel, act, move, and think way better than they did before😍
Massage can help with all aspects of a horse just like it can do the same thing for us. It can help physically, emotionally, and mentally. What a blessing it is to help horses all over the world through my online course as well as my online presence❤️
This horse recently tied up, and had a real need for electrolytes! She is recovering, and a massage session and a chiropractic adjustment is doing wonders to help her come back to a happier life😍
She enjoyed her session with me immensely, and I loved seeing her responses to the different techniques I used💜
It’s July everyone 💕
A tongue release can help with a lot of different areas within the body especially in the head, jaw, behind the ears, upper neck, lower neck, and even into the shoulders and back. Mostly the entire body!
Everything is connected, so when you are able to release one area, it just continues to help the other areas that are restricted🤩
There are so many reasons why I love my job, but learning about how everything is connected is a pretty great way!
I hope you guys have a wonderful hot day wherever you are living😍
Tension in a horse can happen anytime from various riding issues to tight muscles that can create injuries. If your horse isn’t getting movement then tight muscles can happen and the restriction of blood flow starts to create issues!
This horse is such a sweetie, and needs a massage every 4-5 weeks to help with tension that comes from a performance horse. He works hard, and he appreciates some deep tissue massage. This is a clip of how he releases some of the tension he feels😍
