10 Things You probably don’t know about me ✨
👉🏻 I can remember just about every guest’s hair formula down to the gram but I can never remember where they part their hair 💇🏼♀️
👉🏻 One of my favorite vacations was to the Yucatan a few years ago where this picture was taken. We were hosted by some really kind and fun friends of ours. We had the BEST time! They took us to Mayan Ruins that were basically tourist free (we were 3 of maybe 5 people there) and hired an authentic mariachi band for their party then we danced around their living room and celebrated Mexico’s Independence Day while eating some of the best food. Definitely an unforgettable trip. 💖
👉🏻 My favorite antique right now is probably my 9ft tall French China Cabinet ✨
👉🏻 Im actually pretty introverted despite talking to people all day. 💁🏼♀️
👉🏻 I love to collect antique books..( my husband says Im a secret nerd lol) If I cant sleep Im probably saving a new find on Etsy or Ebay.. the older the better, but it has to be something I’m interested in. ✨
A few of my favorite finds - I have a set of 1920 Etiquette books I found at the Dabney estate sale that still include etiquette for “going to court” to meet the royals as well as a set of three 1850 New Orleans books I found in Tennessee that are full of all the newspaper articles printed that year.
👉🏻 My favorite coffee order I actually make at home and it’s a vanilla iced coffee with Splenda + cinnamon ☕️
👉🏻 I hate crowds (You’ll never find me at a big gathering.. I don’t do concerts or festivals or anything where porta potties are a thing 😂)
👉🏻 Im happiest when Im creating something. Building a business, renovating a house, or designing a blonde from scratch. I basically have girl boss energy with an artist’s heart. 💖
👉🏻 My Favorite hair product is a tie between KM’s Fresh Hair dry shampoo + Shimmer Shine Spray 💜
👉🏻 My favorite local restaurant order is stuffed grouper, green beans and a caesar salad from Rusty’s 🥂

Why I don’t make every blonde as light as possible ✨
👉🏻 Natural Color Story
This is simple.. not everyone looks good with the brightest blonde possible.
While platinum blonde may enhance some features it can completely wash out others. We look at your natural hair, color, eye color, and complexion to determine the color story that will bring out your best features. 💕
👉🏻 Your hair remembers everything… (really)
- The color you did a year ago
- the hair straightener you can’t seem to stop using
- the highlights you covered up when you wanted to be brunette.
This all comes into play when blonding because all of this will show up in the lift. Sometimes the highest lift just simply isn’t possible in one session or at all 🤗
👉🏻 Maintenance matters
I want your blonde to look good at EVERY stage 🤩
To do that I need to know realistically how often you want to get your hair done. 💇🏼♀️
This allows me to create a placement that looks good at every stage so my guests never have to schedule their hair appts around their events because their grow out looks soft and beautiful 🤗
👉🏻 Sometimes you don’t need to be brighter, you just need better placement and a custom color story ✨
The goal isn’t necessarily the lightest possible blonde. It’s the BEST possible blonde for you 💖

October is NATIONAL WOMEN’S SMALL BUSINESS MONTH and to celebrate Im excited to officially launch a new mini series where every Sunday I give you a sneak peak behind the business of beauty 🤩
I’m sharing all the things Ive learned along the way, what I would tell new stylists or other business owners and giving you the inside scoop on what happens from behind the chair: the business perspective 💁🏼♀️
I look forward to sharing all things beauty business and connecting with new friends and women business owners along the way. So week one.. let’s go! ✨
👉🏻 BEING GOOD AT YOUR CRAFT AND BEING GOOD AT BUSINESS ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS 👈🏻
You can be an incredible hairstylist and still have a struggling business AND you can have a packed schedule and a huge social media following while still not actually running a profitable business.
As a successful solo business owner in a small town in Mississippi, there are a few things I learned early in my career that I believe made a **BIG** difference between simply being busy and actually being successful in business.
✨ KNOW YOUR NUMBERS
Always. Every day. Every transaction. Every penny.
You should know what’s coming in, what's going out, what you're spending, and what you're actually taking home. You cannot make good business decisions based on a "feeling."
✨ MAKE SURE YOUR BOOKS STAY UPDATED
You should be able to look at your business and compare this year to last year. You should know if you're growing, where you're growing, and where you aren't. 💵💸
Most importantly, your numbers need to be accurate.
You can't set meaningful goals if you don't know where you actually are. 🤩
✨ YOUR BUSINESS’S MONEY IS NOT YOUR MONEY
The business gets what it needs first. Always.
THEN I invest in continuing education and improving my craft which promotes growth.
THEN I prioritize investments and savings.
**THEN** comes personal spending.
Not the other way around.
Remember just because there is money in your business account doesn't mean it's available for you to spend. A profitable business needs to be able to fund itself, grow, and prepare for the future. 🔮
✨ YOUR REPUTATION WILL TAKE YOU FURTHER THAN YOUR FOLLOWER COUNT 🫶🏻
Don't get so hung up on likes, views, followers, or what another stylist is doing online that you forget what is actually happening in your chair. ✨
The way you treat people and your dedication to being the very best at your craft will take you further than any social media count. 💖
Social media is fun. It's important. And yes, it can absolutely help grow your business. BUT your **reputation** is what keeps a business alive and thriving. 🎉
Do consistently great work.
Treat your guests well.
Be reliable.
Keep learning.
Take care of the people who trust you with their hair.
And let them talk about you.
👉🏻 Because word of mouth is still one of the most powerful forms of advertising there is. You don't need to have the biggest following in your town…
✨You just need people who are willing to say "You HAVE to go see her."✨

If you could choose one which would it be…
✨ Highlights that you never grow out BUT you can only pick one color forever
✨ Hair that grows super long and never grays but you can’t color it
✨ Perfect colored hair of your choosing everyday BUT it has to stay shoulder length

To celebrate National Hair Day, I’m sharing three things I love about being a hair artist. 💖
👉🏻 Women supporting women.
I love knowing that I chose a career that at its heart is about making women feel good about themselves. Some people will say, “It’s just hair” but tell that to the woman who feels like herself again for the first time in a long time.
Hair is part of how we show up in the world. It can change how we feel, how we carry ourselves, and sometimes even how we see ourselves.
I’m incredibly grateful that I get to be a small part of helping women feel confident and beautiful. ✨
👉🏻 How much you learn behind the chair.
This is probably something you don’t see on hair stylists list very often but for me it’s one of the biggest bonuses of this career. I may teach my guests about their hair but they teach me SO much too! 🙌🏻
Im introduced to different careers, travel locations, family traditions, local history, recipes and all kinds of things I never would have discovered on my own. It may be the newest antique mall, best restaurant in town or the book nobody can put down.. I may not know the answer to something but there’s a pretty good chance I know someone who does. 😂
👉🏻 No two days look exactly the same
Long before I knew I wanted to go to hair school, I remember brainstorming what I could see myself doing in the future. I knew one thing for sure: I didn’t want a “job” where every day looked exactly the same. ✨
Being a hair artist has given me the interesting, creative, and diverse career I imagined while being a solo entrepreneur has given me the freedom to travel, and chase my other dreams I have along the way. ( Like renovating a 1907 house) 🏡
When I look at everything being a hair artist has given me, I honestly couldn’t think of a better fit for me...
..and to every guest who has ever sat in my chair I really mean this.. thank you for being part of the reason I love what I do so much. 💖
Happy National Hair Day! ✨
Happy National Hair day 💁🏼♀️
Have you ever been curious about K-Tip extensions? ✨
One of my most popular extension methods, K-Tips give you the freedom to wear your hair any way you want while staying surprisingly low-maintenance.
And one of my favorite parts? They only need to be reinstalled every 12–16 weeks, compared to a 6–8 week move-up with wefts! 🤩
Questions about K-Tips or wondering if they’d be a good fit for your hair? Let’s talk! 💕
Platinum Blonding Session: $335
K-Tip Extension Install: $900
Having perfect hair for 3 months? PRICELESS. 💖

Luxury Blonding isn’t just about the perfect color story.. it’s also the seamless grow out 8 weeks later 💖 It’s never having to plan your events strictly around your hair appointment because your hair looks beautiful at every stage 🫶🏻

Soft contrast. Bright blonde. Perfect blend. 🪄
That’s a wrap! 🎬✨
What an incredible few days filled with learning, inspiration, and SO MANY takeaways. 💛
For everyone who doesn’t speak “hair” and has been wondering what exactly I flew halfway across the country to learn… here’s the exciting part. 🤔✈️
We learned how to create custom extension bonds that are made specifically for each guest. Instead of every bond being the same size, we can customize them to fit the density of your natural hair.
👉🏻 The result? Bonds that are smaller, lighter, and blend so seamlessly they almost melt into your own hair.
Not everyone needs a custom baby bond, but for guests with ultra-fine hair or women who have always been told their hair is too thin for extensions.. this is an absolute game changer. It opens the door for beautiful, comfortable, natural-looking extensions that simply weren’t possible before.
I can’t wait to bring these new techniques back to my Vicksburg beauties. 💕 As always, I’m committed to “bettering my best” so I can continue offering the newest, safest, and most natural looking extension methods available. 🤗💖
