In order to maintain NYS guidelines, Mario’s will be taking the following precautions:

• Clients are required to wear a mask, preferably with straps around the ear, not around the whole head
• Check in at the front desk (please make sure you are wearing your mask). You will be required to wait in the mall hallway until a staff member comes to get you.
• Upon entry to the salon, we ask that you sanitize your hands- Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the salon as well as antibacterial soap.
• Clients will have their temperature taken with a non-contact temperature thermometer, and will be asked a series of quick screening questions before seeing their stylist for their appointment
• Limited number of guests and stylists in the salon- please do not bring guests. *See note below for details.
• Using disposable capes
• Sanitizing all tools after each client
• Frequently cleaning and disinfecting shared services in the salon (stylist chairs, shampoo areas, etc.)
• Stylists are required to wear a mask and will have their temperature taken before entering the salon

*To ensure stylists and clients maintain distance as much as we can; we are limiting the number of clients allowed in the salon to just those with a stylist chair readily available. This means we will not be allowing clients to use the waiting area and only allowing the person with the appointment to enter (no friends, family, spouse, etc.) unless you are parental or medical guardian. Due to this restriction, we ask that upon arrival you check in at the front desk and wait in the mall until a member of Mario’s staff comes out to get you or contacts you on your cell phone.

If you have been exposed to Covid-19 in the past two weeks you will be rescheduled to a future date, but most importantly if you are feeling sick please stay home.

Fall Finale: On this spectacular autumn day, the Colonial Belle makes its last passenger voyage of the year on the Erie Canal in Fairport, NY.

Calendar Update: Enjoy a Watkins Glen State Park gorge capture recently as I update our 2020 Finger Lakes Region calendar project. We are in Phase II of the project, finalizing design before we send it to the printing presses. Many of you have messaged me asking about how to order one since our Kickstarter campaign ended two weeks ago. I will be posting a link here in a couple weeks where you can easily order the calendar. Also, for folks in the region, I’ll be doing a number of appearances in November with calendars in hand and good conversation to be had. I’ll be posting about the locales I’ll be at once they’re all finalized. Thank you for the support on this endeavor, it has been a fun process and the best is yet to come. Watch here for further updates 😀.
