It's no secret this past year has been full of change, and this month is no exception.

I'm sorry to say that I am no longer with Gallery Salon and am not working behind a chair at this time.
If you have an appointment scheduled with me, I'm very sorry that I'm unable to accommodate you. Please contact me directly, or call the salon for reference information for an alternative stylist.

In 2013 I attended Continental School of Beauty and began my 1st salon job shortly after.
It's been a hell of a 9 year journey.
I've moved around a handfull of times in search of a space where I truly fit. & I'm so grateful for the incredible clients who have stayed and followed me all over the place.
If you know me, you know that I've never fit seamlessly into existing spaces and have often had to create my own.
Getting a diagnosis for BPD as well as ADHD was a huge step forward, but a title doesn't magically erase the symptoms and traits I've struggled with all my life. It began a long process of trial and error, treatment and medication. I'm still working with my Dr to find the right balance.

This past year I was sure I had found a place where I fit and would be wholly embraced. I made more life adjustments in order to fully dedicate myself to my work, because I had finally landed my dream job.
Unfortunately, after just 5 months I was let go.
'Devastating' would be putting it lightly, but there is nothing to be done.
This was not a reflection of my work behind the chair, but my struggle with organization and task management. Things I'm told will improve with time, practice, and medication.
Unfortunately, progress is not linear and my timeline is not up to speed with the standards of Gallery salon.
The team at Gallery are some of the best stylists I've had the opportunity to work with and I wish them nothing but the best.

I'm blessed to have the support system I do, because I was in a terrible place this week.
This sudden change has also made me realize that I need a break. I have worked full-time since the moment I graduated from Continental at age 19, and have dedicated my life to my career.
These last few years, my body hasn't worked as well for me. Daily chronic pain has become more intense, and migraines have kept me from many opportunities.
I've chosen to accept this shift as a chance to re-center myself and focus on my mental & physical wellness.
I realized that my job is my identity. I barely know myself outside of my career and that's not healthy for me anymore. I've hustled for 9 years, telling myself that it would be worth it, while life passed me by.
This set back has shown me that I deserve to be more than my job.

My hope is to eventually return to working in a salon space where I can give my clients the service they deserve.
At this time however, I'm unsure when that might be. This leave could last 1 month, it could last 6.
I will be referring my clients out to stylists i know and trust for the time. If you happen to fall in love, there will be no hard feelings! I love these stylists and know my clients will too.

Thank you to every single person who's trusted me with their hair over the course of these 9 years. Your support means the world to me. 💕

This week I'm taking time to do things I normally wouldn't.
Like sitting with my morning coffee, or doing laundry on a weekday. I will be okay.

This week is bittersweet.
I'm officially taking the next step in my career, and moving to a new salon in the neighborhood of the arts!

🌈 Starting this Monday 8/15 I will officially be located at Gallery Salon at 4 Elton St, Rochester.

My 3 years in Greece have been transformative. I've grown so much thanks to the support of my salon family at Lidori, which makes this change tough.
This move will allow me to continue serving my clients to the best of my ability, and grow even more as a stylist in this quickly advancing industry.

✂️What does this mean for my existing clients?
Not much will change, except location!
Booking is easier than ever, and can be done by calling the salon directly at 585 271 8340

I'm looking forward to offering an expanded service menu, in a central location, with expanded hours of availability!

ATTENTION all my amazing clients!
I'm traveling out of state to see my dad for a holiday visit!
I will not be in the salon or answering work related inquiries between Thursday Nov 25th & Wednesday Dec 1st.
Any salon related messages will be answered on Dec 2nd.

I will return to normal salon hours on Thursday December 2nd.

I have opened my book for appointments on Monday Nov 22nd, to help make up for lost time, PM me to schedule!
