We decided on an angelic, ethereal makeup look with berry cheeks, individual lashes, and lots of glow.

And the weather today is just perfect for a spring wedding in the DC area 😍

A little makeup sesh from today, something pretty and fresh.

Can we please talk about how mad I am that I LOVE the YSL blushes because they are $$$ but so beautiful? My current fave is the 44 shade, it is such a good color and the finish is perfection. A perfect bridal cheek if you aren’t into the bubble gum pink that is so prevalent.

Emily requested a skin focused bridal look, which you know I love. Her skin is in excellent shape- she has been getting facials regularly and wears sunscreen daily- which makes this type of look so much easier to execute. We kept the base light and softly lit, with extra glow on the high points of her face. I used my current favorite ilia cream highlighter for that non-sparkly glowing from within vibe.

Tips for freckled skin and complexion makeup 🫶🏻

1. Keep the coverage sheer, unless the client requests for fuller coverage. I personally like to use something like face atelier and apply with a beauty sponge.

2. Choose a more glowy formula, as matte products tend to look mottled.

3. Use foundation and concealer sparingly / only where needed. I think this is the key to the freshest looking skin regardless, but we all need a reminder sometimes :) and of course this is just my opinion- do what makes you feel best.
