Hey, I’m Allyson, the hands behind Seeing Hands here in Virginia Beach. 🪬✨

I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, but somehow Virginia Beach became home. The kind of place that meets you where you are and quietly helps you grow. I used to say in massage school that I’d be massaging by the beach one day… and now here I am living my dream.

I was born with an eye condition called aniridia, so I’ve been visually impaired my whole life. That’s shaped how I work in the best way. I pay attention differently, move with intention, and really listen to what your body is saying.

Outside of work, music is always playing somewhere in my life. I love a good true crime deep dive, being by the water, and just finding moments that keep me grounded. I’m also passionate about advocating for the low vision community and creating space for more visibility, opportunity, and representation.

As a Black woman in this field, I take pride in showing up fully and doing work that contributes to Black excellence in wellness. Not just being present, but raising the standard and creating something meaningful.

Massage changed my life in a real way. This work is how I connect, how I care, and how I help people feel like themselves again.
