Well, I cannot believe I fell for a scam this morning. When I worked as a personal banker for a local credit union, I helped countless members who were victims of fraud and thought I knew all of the tricks. Well I found out this morning I do not in fact know as much as I thought about fraud and scammer's tricks. I found a fantastic deal on Marketplace for a patio set and thought I finally caught a break, just listed, great patio set with a ' too good to be true' price. That should have been the red flag to slap my brain back to functioning...but I let my excitement cloud my better senses. I honestly thought FB Marketplace was safe but I have learned it's in fact not safe. I'm sharing my SNAFU with the hopes this will help someone not become a victim like myself. So please you guys, take a few mins to think before you leap. Don't do what I did, get too excited to research the seller and don't send a deposit until you are 100% sure it is a legit seller. I still cannot believe I actually fell for the scam and jumped in both feet with a smile face even.
