The holiday weekend was beautiful & SUNNY! 🌞

But... I know some of yall are suffering so here are some tips for recovery!

Aloe Vera to moisturize:  Aloe vera is soothing and moisturizing, and it has cooling properties. This makes it an ideal choice for soothing the pain of minor sunburns. Sunburned skin loses moisture, and applying aloe may help retain skin moisture.

Cold showers: Taking a cold shower can help to reduce itching because of the cooling, anti-inflammatory effects of cold water. With a sunburn, your body will respond better to cold water than hot water.

Drink extra water: A sunburn draws fluid to the skin’s surface and away from the rest of the body. Drinking extra water when you are sunburned helps prevent dehydration.

Keep using SPF: Though you may not be heading back to the beach anytime soon..most of us are exposed to the sun more than we realize. Put on your spf when you get up so if you're exposed to the sun on the way to the mailbox, in the car, walking into work, heading to lunch, heading to soccer practice, etc... you're not getting scorched! (& reapply)

Your spray tan needs to be moisturized and when done often, it will thrive!!

Moisturizing is the key to a long lasting spray tan with an even fade!

That being said... All moisturizers are Not created equal, some moisturizers and most oils will ruin a perfectly good spray tan! Use this picture as a guide & check your ingredients list!

Best to ditch the oils & buy spray tan safe products to protect your spray tan this fall! 🍁
