Frequent use of heat, high heat settings for your hair texture or not applying heat protectant before using heating tools will definitely damage your hair.

Things to consider when searching for a stylist👇🏾

1. 🔖Consider your hair goals. Where would you like to see your hair in the next 1-5yrs? Hair goals take time, that’s why it’s a goal and stylist aren’t magicians even though it may seem like it at times
2. 🤳🏾Check out potential stylist work on more than one platform. The more visualization you have the better. Also every stylist is different and most have skills they specialize in.
3. 🔖Does the potential stylist align with your hair goals? Do they specialize in hair length retention, short cuts, color etc.. again every stylist is different and you are searching for the one that aligns with your hair goals.
4. Last but certainly not least. Once you’ve done your Research, you’re Confident enough in the stylist you’ve chosen and you’re sitting in that stylist chair let him/her do their job. It’s definitely Ok to ask your stylist questions and get at home tips but don’t try to do that stylist job bc if you could do what we do then you would have no need to sit in that stylist chair. That’s just respect for their craft.
