PSA: You don’t have to wait until menopause to talk about hormone therapy. 📣

Perimenopause can begin YEARS before your final period—and you can still be having periods while experiencing very real hormonal symptoms.

Think:
✨ Brain fog
✨ Sleep changes
✨ Mood changes
✨ Hot flashes/night sweats
✨ Low libido
✨ Vaginal or urinary changes
✨ Changes in your cycle

For some women, hormone therapy may be an appropriate option during perimenopause. You don’t have to wait until your periods completely stop before having that conversation with your healthcare provider.

And importantly: hormone therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. The decision should be individualized based on your symptoms, medical history, risk factors, and goals.

If you’ve been thinking, “But I’m still getting my period…” — that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start asking questions. 🤍

📌 Save this for later & share it with a woman who needs to hear it.

08/25/2026

You were told perimenopause meant hot flashes and irregular periods.

But no one warned you about this 👇

👂 Itchy ears
👃 Suddenly becoming VERY sensitive to smells
🏜️ Dry skin… everywhere
❤️‍🔥 Low or nonexistent s*x drive
🤕 Headaches
🩸 Changes in cycle length
🧔‍♀️ New chin hairs
🍈 Swollen or tender breasts
💪 Frozen shoulder
😵‍💫 Sensory overload
💇‍♀️ Hair thinning
🧠 Forgetting words you use every day
🌀 Dizziness
⏰ Waking up at 3 AM
😴 Struggling to fall asleep
⚖️ More weight around your midsection
🐜 Crawling or tingling sensations on your skin
🎈 Bloating
👄 Dry mouth; less saliva production
🦴 Achy joints that make you feel like you’ve been hit by a bus

And yet, so many women hear:

“Your labs are normal.”
“You’re just stressed.”
“That’s part of getting older.”

Some of these symptoms can occur during the menopause transition, but they can also have other medical causes—which is exactly why they deserve a conversation, not dismissal.

Perimenopause can begin years before your final period, and your cycle may still look relatively “normal” while things start feeling anything but normal.

If you recognize yourself in this list, you’re worth a deeper conversation with a provider who understands the menopause transition.

💾 SAVE this list for your next appointment.
📲 SHARE it with the woman who keeps saying, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.”

Which one surprised you the most? 👇

🚨 THIS COULD BE A BIG MOMENT FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH.

On September 17, the FDA is holding a public workshop dedicated to something many of us in hormone medicine have been talking about for YEARS:

Testosterone therapy in women. 👏🏼

And yes — I’ll be watching this one VERY closely.

Despite testosterone being an important hormone in women, there is currently no FDA-approved testosterone product specifically indicated for menopausal women in the United States.

That’s why this meeting matters.

The FDA plans to examine the science surrounding testosterone in women — including its potential role in:

✨ Sexual desire & function
🧠 Mood & cognition
💪 Muscle & musculoskeletal health
🦴 Healthy aging
⚡ Overall quality of life

They’ll also be discussing testosterone testing, appropriate clinical endpoints, long-term safety, and what research would be needed to potentially move toward FDA-approved testosterone therapies specifically designed for women.

As a provider who works in hormone health, I’m incredibly excited to see women’s testosterone finally getting this level of attention.

But this isn’t an FDA endorsement or approval of testosterone for women — yet. It’s an opportunity to examine what the evidence shows, where the gaps remain, and what needs to happen next.

For far too long, conversations about women’s hormones have largely centered around estrogen and progesterone.

Testosterone belongs in the conversation too.

September 17 is officially on my calendar. 👀

I’ll be following the discussion closely and breaking down what it could mean for women and the future of hormone therapy.

Save this post + follow along. This is a conversation worth watching. 🧬✨

POV: Your bioidentical hormone pellets finally kicked in and suddenly you’re walking around like the main character again. 💃✨

Energy? Back.
Mood? Unbothered. 💅
Sleep? Like a baby.
Libido? 👀
Brain fog? Never heard of her.

When your hormones start hormone-ing again… the walk just hits different. 😂

Hormone therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all and should be individualized with a qualified medical provider.

Brain fog… but make it ✨professional✨ 🧠😂

You can have years of medical training and still walk into a room and completely forget why you’re there.

And for women in perimenopause, that “Where did my brain go?” feeling may be more than just being busy, stressed, or getting older.

Changes in estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone can overlap with changes in cognition, sleep, mood, energy, and overall well-being.

And yes — testosterone matters in women, too. 👏

Bioidentical hormone therapy can be an option for appropriately selected patients after an individualized evaluation. The goal isn’t to “optimize” everyone to the same number — it’s to look at the whole picture: symptoms, history, risks, labs when appropriate, and what’s actually going on.

Because sometimes the brain fog happens to the person wearing the white coat too. 😂

Save this for the next time you forget the word that was literally just in your brain.

The skincare product I actually use EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 🍊✨

Not sponsored. Not gifted. Just one of my favorite skincare products that I buy myself and continue to repurchase: SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic.

So why has this vitamin C serum earned a permanent spot in my morning skincare routine?

🧪 15% L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
✨ 1% vitamin E
🍊 0.5% ferulic acid

Together, these antioxidants help protect the skin from environmental oxidative stress while improving the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, and brightness.

And after 20+ years, this iconic formula is getting an upgrade. 👀

SkinCeuticals has introduced its next-generation, patent-pending C E Ferulic formula, keeping the antioxidant trio we know and love while adding:

🧬 0.3% Carnosine — to further support the skin’s antioxidant defenses
🌿 1% Endophytol™ — a biotechnology-derived dandelion root extract designed to help defend against pollution-induced oxidative stress and inflammaging

Basically…the product I already refuse to give up is entering its next era. 😂

I apply C E Ferulic every morning after cleansing and before moisturizer + SPF. ☀️

And as someone who works in aesthetics, I’ll always say this: injectables can do amazing things—but they don’t replace good skincare.

Healthy skin is built through what you do consistently every single day.

Is C E Ferulic an investment? Yes.
Do I continue buying it with my own money? Also yes. 😂

And am I excited to get my hands on the new formula? Absolutely. 🍊🧪

Not sponsored or gifted. Just sharing a product I genuinely use and love.

From little girl dreams to helping people become the best version of themselves ✨

This old photo reminds me how far the journey has been. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to be back then (besides very fashionable, clearly), but I always knew I wanted to help people feel confident, healthy, and seen.

Today, as a physician associate in aesthetics and longevity medicine, I get to do exactly that — helping patients feel their best both inside and out. Confidence, wellness, and self-care aren’t superficial… they’re powerful.

Grateful for the women who inspired me, the patients who trust me, and the little girl who believed big things were possible.

Happy International Women’s Day 💫

All jokes aside, I’m lucky to have such compliant patients! ✨

Between hormones and aesthetics, it’s crucial to follow the proper aftercare to maximize your results and avoid any issues.
