A past employee of mine has had a heart attack and has passed , Kelly was a sweet person that would have done anything to help someone, she is a mom and a wife,
Her family is devastated at this sudden death. They are desperately in need of help to pay for her cremation! No one should have this to deal with as they are dealing with the loss. Her husband is on disability and are asking just for money to cremate her, please help with what ever you can dig deep❤️❤️❤️❤️ https://gofund.me/3eceff09

As a hairstylist, my job isn’t always about making someone pretty. I’ve hugged girls after a breakup. I’ve prayed for women who just got divorced or in an abusive relationship. I’ve given encouraging words to the girl getting ready to start college or a new job. I’ve been the first to realize someone is pregnant by the texture of their hair. I’ve caught thyroid problems on the lady with a thinning scalp. And today I cut several inches of hair off a dear friend that’s getting ready to undergo chemo treatment. Being a hairstylist isn’t easy. See, when women (or men) come into the salon they’re not coming in just for a “new do”. The majority of the time I have to give them so much more than a fresh haircut or color. And it is hard to find the words to say to help comfort, encourage & let them know everything is going to be okay. I’ve said this before and I still believe I’m not in this business to just do hair. I believe God has placed me here to be a light to those who may be hurting, sick, stressed or any other situation in their lives. Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to say to someone, especially if you’ve never been through what they’re going through. But I pray God keeps sending them so I can keep lighting the sparks and show there’s good to come in this world. The enemy loves to drag us down where he knows it hurts. It’s heartbreaking to see what some people have to endure in this life. But keep sending them Lord! Even if you don’t hear me, it doesn’t mean I’m not praying for you. ❤️

Hair Salons/One Client At A Time (Soft Opening April 27th)
Allow a licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time Starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of VA and the local Board of Health will be followed. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or people at restaurants picking up food.

Why is this important?

The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship.

If we are allowed to go into our clients homes to do their hair, what's the difference in having them in my (I'm the only one in there) Salon to do their hair. One on one is what I do on a normal basis.

As a salon owner I am trained in infection control and have control of the level of sanitation in my salon. If salons can't stay opened it effects more than just those stylists. My landlord fails if I fail.
