Cacao, chocolate, is an amazing gift
from nature. It’s been enjoyed for
centuries, and long ago it wasn’t just
a treat, it was medicine. The magic of
cacao is becoming more “remembered” in
recent times as the extraordinary
benefits, on top of flavor, become
more widely studied.

Just as we did with our hot chocolate,
Mi Corazon, we wanted to make
something delicious but that also
wasn’t just “not bad for you” but
actually good for you and tastes
exquisite.

The flavors are traditional for dark
chocolate at first, until you get to
the salted / toasted pepitas and cumin
seeds which is where it gets
deliciously interesting. The sweetness
comes from high grade maple syrup and
raw, unfiltered honey. The top side
resembles broken purple jewels coming
from the crystallization of a
pulverized mix of beet powder and
dehydrated maple syrup. All organic.

Each bar is hand made and packaged
individually. It’s a pretty magical
experience, and, for now, only
available for one pre-order sale for
pickup on Valentine’s Day (2/14/26) at
Prosperity Kitchen & Pantry. Just give

We’re producing a limited edition dark chocolate bar for Valentine’s Day 2026 that we’re really excited about sharing. We’ve been experimenting with chocolate making for awhile now and it started with the idea of using toasted pepitas (pumpkin seeds) This bar is made of all organic ingredients including cacao, cacao butter, toasted pepitas, mineral salt, maple syrup, raw unfiltered honey and toasted cumin seed . The top of the bar which looks like purpley jewels is made by crystallizing a blend of dehydrated maple syrup and beet powder with the first layer of molten cacao. It’s pretty spectacular and a flavor combination that you won’t forget. Each bar is handmade and hand packaged. We will release an order form soon and you will be able to pickup your order at in Valentine’s Day. Will post a bit more on the ingredients and the process soon ✌️❤️

In a world where increasingly everything seems to be made by robots in factories, faster, cheaper and with more and more ingredients, it’s nice to know that you don’t need to fly to some small town in Europe to get real bread, made by hand with only organic flour, salt and water. uses these traditional techniques in their bread making and truthfully it’s the only bread my family eats unless we’re baking it ourselves. A lot of people today have issues with processed carbohydrates but numerous studies show that long, cold fermented dough that doesn’t use commercial yeast as a leavening agent has a far superior nutritional profile than basically any bread you can currently buy at even the best grocery stores. - In a 2021 peer-reviewed study in Microbiology Spectrum, researchers demonstrated that sourdough bread fermentation enhances gut metabolite production, including short-chain fatty acids like butyrate and acetate, which fuel colon cells and reduce inflammation, unlike conventional yeast bread.
- The study’s gut simulator revealed sourdough’s superior protein digestibility (82% vs 64%) and resistant starch content, boosting Bifidobacterium abundance—a probiotic linked to lower inflammatory bowel risks—while maintaining overall microbiome diversity.
- Fermentation alters wheat proteins and carbs, potentially mitigating gluten reactions; supporting evidence from a 2022 Frontiers in Microbiology mouse study confirms similar microbiome shifts, though human trials remain sparse for broader validation. In too of the health benefits this type of bread, especially toasted with some really good butter, has extraordinary flavor. This is real health, food that nourishes you and is highly satisfying 🤍

Fermented honey garlic with hot chili pepper. Raw garlic contains allicin (antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory), supporting heart health and immunity. In a study published in the journal Aging, researchers uncovered a potential molecular link between theobromine, a compound abundant in cocoa, and slower biological ageing in humans.

Theobromine is a natural alkaloid found in chocolate and other cocoa-derived products. This research suggests higher levels of theobromine in the blood may help dial back the clock on epigenetic markers of aging and help cardiovascular improvements and mood enhancement in both animal models and human studies.

The study analyzed serum metabolomics data to measure circulating theobromine levels and correlated them with blood-based epigenetic clocks, tools that estimate biological age based on DNA methylation patterns.

Out of approximately 18,500 recognized human diseases, less than 22% have FDA-approved pharmaceutical treatments of any kind. A 2016 analysis of the top 10 most-prescribed drugs in the U.S. found that 90% (9 out of 10) only relieve symptoms and allow the disease to progress. Most natural source remedies have little to no scientific research to back up claims of medicinal uses and rely on anecdote and historical evidence. Why? They are abundant, easy to access and relatively cheap. There’s no big money to be made on things you can grow yourself / find growing in your yard. With a healthy diet consisting of non processed natural foods / active lifestyle most people will live a long disease free life. Adding in specific natural foods like thyme, oregano, turmeric, beets, etc etc can help manage symptoms and cure specific common and rare conditions when an otherwise healthy person consumes them. Intentional consumption of high frequency food. This is key for human health and happiness. Intentionality means consuming the things that your particular body needs to thrive throughout the varying seasons of life. Like eating more oysters in the winter to increase zinc intake to prevent sickness. More tomatoes in the summer to protect your skin. Using cacao for its high antioxidants to prevent premature aging. High frequency food is grown / raised organically with the purpose of nourishment not just enjoyment. Broccoli grown outside, in high quality compost, planted, maintained and harvested by hand is quite different than a bag of frozen broccoli grown as quickly and cheaply as possible not just in the nutrient contents but the energy it holds. Factory processed, synthetically grown = low frequency, depressing food. Food grown by people who carefully planned what they will grow and when, prepared for months to make it happen, planted and harvested by hand with love for those who will ultimately consume it = high frequency, high energy, nourishing food. Nikola Tesla said it best - “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration” Be intentional. Figure out what your body needs and when. It’s not that hard or expensive to do but worth every minute and cent you spend. With high nutrition / high frequency food as the base of your diet you won’t just thrive but you will enjoy it. It’s life’s most basic and satisfying pleasures.
