You know what I love about my job…

You would think I’d say because I love playing in all types of hair colors, textures and lengths or because the way the clients get excited for the “after” reveal…

But the truth is…

I love the consultations. Why? It’s because that’s when you learn the most about a client. From the way they do their hair each day, the products they use, you learn the way their hair lays when you’re really looking at it, the stories behind each hair catastrophes or what stories they tell when they explain what memories their hair holds. Those are the moments I absolutely love. It’s then they become comfortable enough to show their vulnerability and not be worried about judgement. They voice their concerns without someone yelling or telling them they are wrong.

I love seeing new faces, hearing stories and building that relationship with people. Yes they are clients but sometimes if you’re really lucky those clients become friends, family or someone who looks forward to their appointment to tell all the chisme. I always make sure clients are not just seen but heard.

This industry can be brutal with all the stuff we have to learn and adapt to as different styles colors or techniques are developed but it can also be the most fulfilling career path you can take. This is why I wanted to “Rebrand” and came up with Crown & Confide because the truth is everyone deserves a place where they can be their true authentic self while being pampered. ♥️

Starting Aug 24th, I will be behind the chair part time. With my health under control and my son heading off to college, I will be able to devote time to doing hair. I will be available Monday Wednesday And Friday with every other Saturday Starting Sept 5th. I hope I get to see some familiar faces soon ❤️

Had the pleasure of cutting this beauty’s hair. I love that she was very open about what she wanted and even where she wanted her layers and bangs to lay. What I loved most was the smile the way she admired her own beauty while looking in the mirror. That’s what I live for! To see even the little ones smiling because they were happy with the outcome. If I go back into the salon, would anyone book? Thinking of really getting into it again but limiting my days of week and focusing on one day for walk-ins. I would love some feedback and would love to see who would be up to booking. I may even do a once a month giveaway (one month haircut, one month color..).

I would like to thank all of my clients over the years for their love and support. As most of you know, I had to take a step back due to a medical issue. Thankfully I’ve been given a diagnosis and can now move forward. Who’s ready for me to be back behind a chair again?

When your mom wants a more natural color and wants to get rid of the purple…
First we did a color remover and then added the more natural tones.
I love that she is natural more of a strawberry blonde because her hair brings in those red vibes.
From berry vibes to natural beauty.. this look and this shade is perfect!

She wanted that fall vibe with orange hair 🍂
We went in and darkened her roots and added a coppery orange to her ends.
The way this blended and the way the sunlight hit it, gave the perfect tones and made that orange color pop!
Absolutely loved this and it looks so much more beautiful in person!

Loving how this came out on this beauty!
She wanted some bright red highlights but we went with something berry vibes. This came out so cute and was such a her look.
The way the light hits it and the way it still “pops” in the shade is stunning.

Fun fact those with kids who love fun colors, you can always use a conditioning color mask. It gives them the thrill of changing their color but also helps with not needing to use developer or lightener to lift and deposit the color.
