Shout out to Ryan Shady and his awesome family! Ryan is a volunteer firefighter at Ely Volunteer Fire Department, and when it came time to pick a curved treadmill for his garage gym, the built-in sled-push mode made it an easy call. Fireground conditioning at home.

2.) Aim for negative split (2nd half faster)
3.) 5 min walk cool-down
4.) Optional finisher: 4x50m Forward Sled Push, L4

Sprint mechanics on a curved manual are bio-mechanically different from a motorized belt. A motor pulls the belt to you; you keep stride. A curved deck only moves when you drive force into it. Result: a strong posterior-chain stimulus that motorized belts can't reproduce.

ran a 1/4 Murph on it with a BLAST mask on: 400m run, 25 pull-ups, 50 push-ups, 75 air squats, 400m run.

BLAST = Breathing Limited Air Situational Training. The mask from clips to your SCBA facepiece and restricts airflow to simulate work on bottle, without draining a real cylinder. Same principle endurance athletes and fighter pilots train on: load the respiratory system under restricted O2 and elevated CO2, and your breathing muscles, pacing, and stress response all adapt. Show up on the fireground and air management improves, panic threshold climbs, the bottle lasts longer.
