A few weeks ago, I hosted a Nutrition Seminar at Impact Performance & Fitness. Initially, my goal was to use it as a marketing tool down the line, but I decided to give it away as a free resource to help more people. This isn't your typical "tips and tricks" kind of seminar—it's packed with real, science-backed information that can make a significant impact, especially if you've struggled with your weight before.

Blessed to have had the pleasure to coach today. Sometimes we think of our jobs as a got to do. But a lot of things change in your life when your got to do's turn into get to do's.
👉🏿Some people don't get to wake up each day and experience that bad weather
👉🏿Some people don't get to have a trainer to push them through that workout
👉🏿Some people don't get to go to a steady job, get a paycheck and make a living
👉🏿Some people don't get to look after their kids or spend time with their loved ones anymore
All those things we think we don't have time for or feel like it's a hassle to schedule into our lives.
Remember somebody doesn't get to.
A lot of times our mindset holds us back from our own happiness.
Something as simple as switching a word from I've got to do to I get to do can be the one thing that changes your entire life.
Ps - shout out to everyone for bringing out that athlete from within. Our Saturdays run much like practice from hs or college sports.
So the expectations are that they work together as a team & bring their best. Today they went above and beyond those expectations 👊🏾

Ever feel like your life is so hectic there isn't enough time to think let alone think about what to eat? Same...We all know how hectic life can get with work, kids, and everything in between.
Now add trying to be healthy, build muscle or lose weight. Although our goal is to help build healthy habits for all the people we work with, we also understand good coaching is meeting somewhere in between. Drop a comment if you agree 👇
Sometimes, grabbing a quick bite at a fast food joint is the only option that works with your life. I know what you might be thinking. You can't believe I am suggesting fast food but the truth is, you can still get in great shape by eating healthy 80% of the time and having a little fast food 20% of the time.
But when I say fast food understand fast food doesn't always mean unhealthy food! 🍔🥗 Let's talk about some healthier choices you can make at your local fast food place that will help you stay in alignment with your fitness goals.
First you can opt for grilled over fried: Grilled chicken sandwiches or wraps are a great source of lean protein and usually have fewer calories than their fried counterparts.
I am a big fan of grabbing a salad! They are convenient a most fast food places now offer a variety of salads. Just be mindful of the dressings - they can be sneaky calorie bombs!
You can never go wrong when you swap out fries for a side salad or fruit. Sometimes you can swap fries for sweet potato fries and then get a salad to start. You will often fill up on the sooner helping you to not over eat.
My biggest one is skipping adding calories into your drinks. Opt for water and lemon, unsweetened iced tea, or even seltzer.
Most people over think it. You can easily eat healthy grabbing something from chipotle, pancheros or any place that uses a little bit of quality ingredients.
It's all about making smarter choices, not perfect ones. So next time you're in a rush, use one of these ideas to help you stay on track.

"I won't be this young forever" has gine through my mind ever since my father and law passed away.
I haven't stopped thinking about how short life really is.
Because life so short, it's important for me to evaluate what I do with my time. Do I spend it productively moving forward or do you let time pass me by?
They say when you're working in Flow State or in your Unique Zone of Genius, time actually slows down.
However when you are scrolling or in a state of sedation, mindlessly watching tv or videos, time speeds up. 🤯
So people who have no focus.
Have no vision.
Have no purpose
Have passions
Their time rapidly speed up.
So we can literally waste time.
Can you believe we waste one of the most valuable assets we own. In fact time is "the" most important asset that any of us own.
Many of us would easily give someone money 💰 to do something that saves us time.
- hoyse or pet cleaner
- car wash
- fast food or restaurant
We pay for answers we don't know.
We pay for trainers to teach us exercise.
We pay tutors to teach our kids.
Why?
Because time is more important than money.
Yet most of us are still wasting time like we can go out and make more of it.
When you run out of time, we don't get more of it. You have to make the best with what you got.
So many people say they don't have time to be fit and healthy. I say it's not that you don't have time.
You just don't have a strong enough reason.
I have a reason to get up early & get after it. I have a reason to open up that laptop 💻 & get to work. I have a reason that drives me to be the best coach i can be.
My family fuels me. My daughter gives me strength. My wife loves me and believes in me more than I often believe in myself.
When I'm tired I look to them for energy. When I'm feeling weak I look to them for my strength.
Sometimes We need to reevaluate our lives, who is in them & extract those reasons to keep showing up.
Most people I work with are not trying to overcome a weight or muscle problem.
Most people I work with are overcoming a self esteem & self worth problem.
What we do at Impact Performance & Fitness is bigger than training.
We transform lives.
Period.
