This week I've overcome so many I don't feel like it's. But I managed to shhh my inner self doubt. My inner voice trying to keep me small.
Truth. The grind will be hard. But you have to show up everyday ready to go. Ready to put the work in.
I show up for me so that I can show up for my people. If I put in the work I don't have to tell them anything.
As a captain or a leader, it's important to lead from the front. To show resolve, resiliency & great character.
Every workout builds my self discipline. My self worth. My self love.
You see the physique or the demonstration of athletic ability. I see decades of hard work. Decades of self mastery. Decades of self discipline to the process in empty gyms when nobody's watching.
You are not lacking anything in life. You are only blocking it by thinking success comes from anything but hours and hours of hard work.

Imagine waking ⏰️ up hoping online to talk negatively about something or someone else.
Do you think any pro athlete, celebrity or major business player wakes up thinking about what you're doing?
Not for a second.
So anytime you catch yourself bout to bring some negativity, ask yourself - "how does this affect my goals in life?"
That one breif pause can snap you out of a low frequency state (where negative thoughts and emotions live) & put you right back in a high frequency state (positive emotions & thoughts thrive).
Most people don't realize they are negative until it's too late. Everyone they know doesn't want to be around them. But self awareness and getting rid of the ego can fix that.
I was stuck in low frequency, negative & depressed 😔 state
I was losing 📉 in every direction. It sucked & I felt hopeless for my future. For my family's future.
When I took personal responsibility, created acceptance around my flaws & down falls, things that happened to my business (cough cough covid) and then create systems to keep me accountable and on track with daily habits - that's when things changed for the best.

Yes, I do all of these things every single day & have since June when I decided this was my blueprint to everything I wanted in my life.
Someone said how the heck are you able to do everything that you do with a daughter, a wife & while running a business?
I told him my Professor in College once told me, "when you need something done, give it to a busy person because they always get s**t done."
He didn't say s**t but I think it makes for a better quote 😉
Be That person who recognizes that you ate not living to your full potential.
Be That person that decides that you're going to start.
In a world 🌎 full of average people, all you have to be is above average to see real success.
Like not even great.
Just above avg.
Think about that & stop ✋️ letting perfection halt your progress.
Consistency + Intensity = Results
If you're consistently taking Intense actions in alignment with your goals & mission you won't burn out.
You only burn out due to negative thoughts associated with living out of alignment.
Read that again.
If you're burned out reevaluate your direction and purpose.

Told a lady the other day she probably isn't a good fit for our gym.
She hung up angry and told me to cancel her appointment.
She recently called looking to shop around gyms. Meaning come in, waste our time, and then try to force us to make a deal for her to stay.
🔸 None of which happened.
She was unhappy at her current gym, aka her current trainer must have gotten tired of her narcissistic behaviors & was no longer catering to her every need.
We weren't being rude, I want to make that clear.
We just explained that we have a process in which new clients come in to our program.
- Step 1: We have a meeting.
- Step 2: You get an offer you accept or decline.
- Step 3: We start training you helping you with nutrition & getting you results 💪
Over the last 10 years, my best clients, aka the biggest transformations, all came through this process.
It works for many reasons, but it also identifies which clients will be successful vs unsuccessful.
🔸 Successful people follow process & order.
🔸 Successful people don't do random.
🔸 Successful people give up control. Control comes from fear.
🔸 Successful people do their research on us before they come.
All of this to say, don't be that lady. She is most likely still shopping around & no closer to a solution to her problem.
Oh, and that appointment she canceled was replaced with 3 more appointments today.
Valuable lesson 💥
🔸 Focus on the ones who want your help & not the ones who want to take advantage or control you.
You have agency. Learn how to market. Learn how to communicate. 💪📚💬
You'll never go broke as long as you learn those skills.
Ps - the customer is not always right. That thinking got me into a lot of trouble and let way too many people walk all over me. Don't be a people pleaser. It will destroy your mental health.

I Used To Wonder if There was something wrong with me
Often in my life I would experience these highs then followed by intense lows.
Ideas 💡 would flow out of me as if I were manic. I could binge study for 2 weeks straight and master any new topic.
But when it wore off I would feel tired and burned out.
The same in my athletic career.
Looking back, what I can say is that when I was in the zone I was untouchable.
When I wasn't , I felt like a fraud who somehow tricked everyone into letting him on the team.
What I was experiencing was self doubt in my lowest moments & mastery in my best moments. When I was in the zone I could see 👀 everything as if it were slowed down & I was operating at a different speed than everyone else. Very similar feeling being on the field.
Some call this being in a flow state. There are increases of Dopamine to your brain 🧠 in 🎨 a state of flow.

Singing
When we are not succeeding like we are used to we lose hope of the ability to succeed. Our brain triggers negative emotions.
Those negative emotion turn to thoughts. Our thoughts drive our actions. Our actions drive our results.
When I looked at when I was winning in life vs losing in life, I realized you can reconstruct habitual behaviors to wire you for success.
First, by controlling your daily thoughts.
Second, by controlling your daily actions
Third, by tracking & measuring your results
Yes, this seems like a very analytical way of looking at your life, but I promise you this.
Life works in Expansions & Contractions
You will have winning seasons & losing seasons. How you control your mind, habits and actions will determine how long each will last.
Read that again.
If you're winning right now, keep crushing that s**t and know that you deserve all the success coming your way.
If you are in a losing season right now, snap out of it and get to work habitually creating the person you want to become.
Losing is a mentality.
The longer you remain a victim in your story, the longer you will feel like a loser.
This is why even when I'm losing I am always still winning because I know the secret.
My winning season is coming and my daily actions can make that happen now if I decide I want to.
So decide you want to & stop ✋️ giving everyone and everything the power 🔋 over your story.
