뉴욕 맨즈 데이(NYMD)가 신진 남성복 디자이너 8팀을 조명합니다.

10년 넘게 이어져 온 뉴욕 맨즈 데이는 대형 패션 행사에서 상대적으로 주목받기 어려운 신진 남성복 디자이너들을 소개하기 위해 마련된 프로젝트입니다. 제26회 뉴욕 맨즈 데이에는 에이본 앵글러스(Avon Anglers), 오일라(Ouila), 에단 루이(Ethan Lewy), 사이언스 프로젝트 컴퍼니(SPC SCIENCE PROJECT COMPANY), 빅오션 x 앤디 유(Big Ocean (빅오션) x Andy Chia Yu), 크리스토퍼 로먼(Christopher Lowman), 에일리언앤트(ALIENANT), 클라라 손(CLARA SON) 8팀이 참여했습니다.

전통적인 남성복을 새롭게 해석한 디자인부터 여유로운 실루엣, 실험적인 디테일과 그래픽까지 각자의 개성을 담은 컬렉션이 눈길을 끌었는데요. 특히 한국 최초의 청각장애인 K팝 그룹 빅오션을 위해 패션 아티스트 앤디 유가 선보인 캡슐 컬렉션과 모터스포츠에서 영감을 받은 크리스토퍼 로먼의 컬렉션이 주목받았습니다.
