HEAT SAFETY TIPS FOR KIDS:
1. Let children play outside in the cooler time of the day, avoiding peak heat times
2. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Children cannot regulate their body temperature as well as adults, so it is important to have cool breaks in the shade with lots of cool/cold water to drink
2. Avoid using bug-repellent/sunscreen combination products. Sunscreen is designed to be reapplied every 2-3 hours, but bug-repellent is not intended to be reapplied

Every August, the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee hosts to encourage families, communities, and organizations to come together for action and conversations about how we can build a stronger support network for breastfeeding parents! 💖
This year's theme is RISE, which stands for: Resilience, Interdependence, Self-determination, and Empowerment! 🐦🔥This year's theme was created by USBC to capture the heart and strength of the field while also honoring the change and growth that are still needed to further equitable access to breastfeeding support for all families.

Don't let mosquitoes sideline your plans! Mosquitoes can spread germs that make you sick. Protect yourself and your family while enjoying your favorite outdoor activities:
• Use Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered insect repellents.
• Wear loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts and pants.
• Control mosquitoes outdoors (and indoors), for example, by dumping standing water where they can lay their eggs.
