My days at JRoberts have come to a, quicker than expected, close due the the virus! I am expecting a baby girl in July and even though the salon is now open, we didn’t think the small time of me coming back was worth the risk of contracting the virus.
My husband has also been accepted into a Masters program and we will be moving in August.
My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for the stylists that I got to stand by day after day. How I learned from them and grew at my craft, and as a person! I couldn’t have asked for a better home to be a stylist just starting out. You will never meet better people than and .

We took this love darker and lighter! We root smudged her two levels darker on her root and then foilayaged her to give her some loved in lighter pieces. Virgin hair to this, Love a good change up 🙌🏻

When we sat down for a consult and she told me she wanted a “silver balayage” I look at her level 4 natural and was a bit skeptical. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Do you ever do that?! Not completely believe in the dream your client is envisioning? I do it and normally, it’s for a good reason. For example, previous color, damage, and some unrealistic expectations can prohibit you as a stylist from reaching your clients goal. It’s not always in your hands. But how many people have sat in your chair and told you a past stylist didn’t listen to them? LISTEN to your guest. And if what they want is unachievable, tell them WHY! Don’t just say you won’t/can’t do it. So many people thank me for sitting and explain the why behind the decisions I make and including them in it. Believe in them and their dreams and let them believe in you.

This girls virgin hair lifted like a dream in one sitting (granted she was still there for 4 hours) and that doesn’t always happen. The stars aligned for her dream silver hair & we’re all pumped about it. 🙌🏻

HELLO GORGEOUS 🔥 Loved getting to take this girl darker, we started with an all over light copper. We darkened her roots & balayaged a lighter color to keep it dimensional. You’d never guess she wasn’t a natural red head.. 🤫

Hoooooney I’m hoooome! Feels good to be back behind the chair. This was my first full year at and it has me feeling truly grateful for everything 2019 brought!
