Light pastels are beautiful, they just don’t complement every complexion. On a deep, warm autumn palette, they can wash everything out instead of brightening it, which is exactly why she felt like she constantly needed extra makeup just to look awake.

The second we got her into her real palette, richer, warmer tones, that "I need more coverage" feeling disappeared. Same face. Completely different energy.

This is what a color analysis actually does. It's not about limiting what you wear, it's about finally knowing which colors are working for you instead of against you.

And this matters just as much once your gray starts coming in. The right palette can make gray look bright and intentional instead of dull, same principle, just a different stage.
