IYKYK, our company began back in 2015 when our founders first produced Macadamia oil as a recycling solution, utilizing excess nuts from local processors (swipe to see our very first post with Kuleana bottles from 10 years ago, and read more about that cool origin story on our website). We soon realized the health benefits of Macadamia oil as a nourishing ingredient for skincare and haircare – and that inspired our original product line of beauty oils, facial cleansers, sunscreen and even full spectrum h**p extract beauty oil blends.

Pacific Biodiesel & Mana‘o Radio are presenting the "Sunflower Farm Music Fest" to support Hawaii's Food Security! The event takes place on Earth Day (Saturday, April 22) from 9AM to 5PM in a blooming field of sunflowers at the Maui farm of Pacific Biodiesel and founders, Bob and Kelly King.

This all-day live music and farm tour benefit event will raise funds and awareness for Hawaii Food Hub Hui, a collaboration of 14 food hubs around the state that provide vital support to small- and medium-sized local farms by working to aggregate, store, process and distribute locally grown, culturally preferred foods to Hawaii’s residents. The event will also raise funds for Mana‘o Radio, celebrating its 21st anniversary this year.

Maui musicians generously donating their time and talent to perform include Brown Chicken Brown Cow String Band, The Lonely Hearts – Beatles and Beyond, and with & The House Shakers.

The event will feature farm tours through the sunflowers, a farm stand, educational displays by participating nonprofits, and food booths by Moku Roots, Aina Tacos and Breakwall Shave Ice featuring local ingredients, including produce and products featured on the local food hubs.
