πŸ‘‡Long post but must read to the end πŸ‘‡

My Pastor this weekend asked, "What has 'Rona taught you?" This question couldn't have come at a better time, I took the time driving home from our weekend to think about this answer;

--> Nothing is gaurenteed, within a matter of 24 hours my whole life changed, I lost both my jobs and source of incomes. Amariyah was now doing school at home and life as we knew it stopped.

--> Life is precious, death is sad. No matter young or old, death is never easy. Hearing of thousands of people dieing is hard to process. Not being able to say goodbye to my favorite residents one last time because I wasn't at work, was hard on me. They are like my own grandparents.

--> Amariyah is growing up fast. In the blink of an eye she will be graduated and on her own. The time we spend together is more precious then any paycheck. We have camped, gone on road trips, cooked together, watched more movies together, just spending more time together, and time is something we can never get back once its gone.

--> I have learnt I have alot of friends and family who have waaaay opposite beliefs then me. It's OK, we are adults and can still get along either way.

--> The only constants in my life is God and Jesus. They have been here this whole time and by being alone with them during this time, has brought my faith closer to them. I at the beginning had a few panic attacks, but that is just my body telling me to PRAY, so I did. I chose faith over fear and stopped watching the news, reading the numbers, cleaned up my Facebook of negativity.

-->I will never ever ever say, I don't want to go to work today πŸ˜‚ I love working, the relationships you build with your co-workers are just as important as family. We spend alot of our time together, I am blessed with 2 amazing co-workers, who support each other in an decisions we make.

With all this being said, I have decided to close my Salon Suite. My health, my happiness and most importantly Amariyah come first. That is the number 1 thing the Rona has taught me! I have always been work, work, work and its time to focus on us! My last day of Appointments will be August 25th. I want to thank all my clients for their support and understanding. I will be working at Country Manor still doing hair and looking into the adventure of going back to school at 35 😳😳 For now I am going to enjoy my time with Amariyah and Louie, of course too ;) I am going to continue to pray and allow God to lead my way.

Great news! Tentative date to open is June 1st! I am currently waiting for the guidelines from the Governor on how we can open up, May 20th they will be sending those out. I will contact those who have contacted me at this time for an appointment after that. With extra sanitation needed, I will need to have extra time allowed. I do know more then likely you will need a mask so, have that prepared. Stay healthy and see you all soon! Please like this status so I know you have seen it so I don't double up messaging ;)

I came across this video, this is such helpful information. This is why it is so important to go to a professional for services, especially lightening the hair!

A personal message from all of us at Salons By JC ☺

πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ This. I'm not on a vacation, trust when I say I miss my work. I miss my clients and residents at the nursing home. I miss our talks, our connections, all the laughs and even the tears. If I could come to your home I would, but I won't risk my health, my passion or my purpose. There have been many times in my career where I have wanted to quit doing hair and I have. I missed it, I missed all of it. I can't explain what it feels like to transform someone's hair and they say, "I feel human again" I can't explain how it feels when someone sits in your chair and tells you all the bad things going on in life and then you finish and they smile. My pastor once said to work with the gifts God gave you is worshipping him everyday of your career. I found my passion, my purpose and it was taken from me over night. I pray for all the days to come, this isn't about what is happening right now, this has no ending, but one thing I know is I have God by my side the whole way through, he goes before me and beside me. We are all in this together, we will get through it. ❀ Thank you all for all your support! Stay healthy ❀
