9 years ago we said I do in the middle of an actual hurricane and got the opportunity to go back to our venue a few weeks later for some beautiful wedding pics.

Today he took me antiqueing with our new born while our older boys had fun with grandma and he spoiled me with all my favorite things.

But one of my favorite things we've ever done is every time I get to see him hold a baby that is the two of us together 😍

I am one blessed lady to have been given such a wonderful gift of this guy 🥰

43 weeks and 5 days... that's how pregnant I was!

Im not here to teach about period duration correlation to pregnancy length, but I will say this is totally normal for me. My babies have always been past 40 weeks.

This was the furthest past 40 weeks I'd ever gone, and I was having a ton of signs of labor. It was just incredibly slow and not starting up. So, on the afternoon of September 10, I went ahead and had a midwives brew shake in hopes we could speed things up.

And BOY did things speed up.

By 8 PM, I was finally starting to have active labor contractions!

When I tell you I have never had contractions happen so fast, I mean it! My first born was roughly 11 hours. My second born was 7 hours.

This labor was right around 3 hours long!

If I hadn't planned a home birth, this probably would have been a car birth!

My midwives made it just in time. I was already naturally pushing before they got here. John made his debut into the world only 20 minutes after they got here!

It was a dream birth. I am so thankful for the way it went. This one truly was mainly just my husband and I, and he is a pro at this point. He is there to hip squeeze and apply pressure to my back however I need it and encourage me through it all.

Thank you for all the encouragement there though the end of pregnancy. There is so much mental preparation it takes to get through that far, Im really thankful to be on the other side now with a baby in arms.
