Hi! I wanted to send out a message to my customers regarding Beautycounter. As you may have heard, Beautycounter was recently purchased back by its founder, Gregg Renfrew, and a group of investors. The hope was that they would be back up and running this month, however after trying as hard as possible to get back up and running they figured out it wasn’t possible. The hope is the brand will be back in some form by the four to quarter of this year. We have no definite answer. We are definitely disappointed. In the meantime, ulta or ulta.com are going to continue to carry about 40 items-in store through July then online. Please reach out if you have any questions!

You may be aware that Beautycounter has had some tech and other ongoing issues since our acquisition by The Carlyle Group investment firm in early 2022. But what you might NOT have known is that Carlyle wanted to take Beautycounter in a different direction than Gregg Renfrew (our founder) and our team of dedicated consultants understood to be in alignment with Beautycounter's mission.
Today, you'll be able to find info in the press about Gregg Renfrew, the female founder and CEO of Beautycounter, buying the company BACK from Carlyle. This is great news -- for you, for me, and for Beautycounter (and its mission) as a whole! GO GREGG!
The not-so-great piece of all this is that there will be a bit of downtime during the transition.
We just found out the site will be down from now through May 1. Don’t fear, it will be back and in the wonderful hands of our new holding group!!
