My Dear Client Friends,

I don't even know how to begin this email so I will get straight to the point. I will be closing the massage studio on Durham Road effective July 31st. I am not giving up my Massage Therapy license but I need to take a break from the responsibility of maintaining the big space that I have occupied for the last 15 years. With being at home the last 4 months I have been sorting things out in my mind and trying to decide what my future holds. The virus does play a part in my decision but if I can be truthful with myself, for the last year and a half I have been thinking of how I could downsize, take a bit of the load off. Many of you know that I have been dealing with a knee injury for the last several years. My knee seemed to be healing, feeling better since I have not been doing Massage for 3 months until I went down to the office one day. As soon as I stepped into the space my knee pain came back and it is worse than ever before. I think a combination of working so hard doing massage in conjunction with standing on concrete all day has finally taken a toll. I feel the forced quarantine has given me the opportunity to see that it is time for a change in my life and work, for many reasons.

As I said before, I will maintain my massage license so maybe one day I will be able to work again. I am sorting something out with a friend that has a treatment room in downtown WF so that when I can begin massage again, she is willing to share her space with me.

I want to thank Ted Wilder for being such a kind and thoughtful landlord for the last 15 years. It has been a great joy to work in this building and I wish everyone there lots of love and prosperity. I truly love this space and this has been one of the toughest choices I have ever had to make. Tears are flowing as I write this, it breaks my heart and I will miss working here so very much. The two MT's that have rented from me for several years do plan on keeping space here in the State Farm building, so please consider reaching out to them if you are in need of bodywork. I will be happy to give you their contact information upon request.

I love all of you. Please know that I hold all of you virtually in my heart and hands. Please reach out to me and let me know how you are doing.

With my entire heart.

Love,

Karen

Today begins Week #4 of being closed down because of COVID19

Dear Client Friends,

I do not send this email light heartily in fact I am heart broken, frightened, concerned because of the unknown situation we have before us. I have been made aware of circumstances that are driving my decision to shut down my massage practice for at least two weeks, maybe more based upon what is happening at that future time. A few reasons being are that I and you can be feeling fine with no symptoms, while at the same time pass this virus on un-knowingly. My first and main concern is public safety and my own little family is a priority as well. I have a great portion of clients that are considered high risk because of age or other disorders. I feel there is absolutely no guarantee that transmitting this virus will not happen in the close quarters of my treatment room either to me or from me to you. At this time, there are no measures for testing a healthy feeling person so here I sit at home writing to you.

If you have an appointment with me and have not heard from me yet be patient. I am in the process of calling everyone on my books for this week and next and would like to talk to you all personally. Your friendship and business means the world to me. I have felt it to be a great honor that each of you have chosen me to be with you on your healing journey and allow me to do the work that I love. As time moves along, please feel welcome to reach out to me to talk, text, email or whatever way it is you choose to communicate. I love all of you very much and I want you to be well.

Two weeks for me will be Monday March 30 and I hope to be back to work but I cannot be sure of anything right now. I will be taking this time to more thoroughly clean my home, do some projects that have been on the list for some time, catch up on meditation practice. In doing so, I will be holding all of you up in healing love, light and prayers of safety.
Much Love and Be well,
Sincerely,
Karen
