1. Seek Shade:
Limit sun exposure, especially during peak hours:
The sun's rays are most intense between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., so try to stay indoors or in shaded areas during this time.
Look for shade:
Utilize trees, umbrellas, awnings, or any other shade structures available.
2. Wear Sunscreen:
Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen: Look for sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays.
Use a sufficient amount: Apply sunscreen liberally, covering all exposed skin. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends using about a shot glass full of sunscreen for your entire body.
Reapply regularly: Reapply sunscreen at least every two hours, and more often if you're swimming or sweating.
3. Wear Protective Clothing:
Cover exposed skin: Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, and other protective clothing to minimize skin exposure.
Choose tightly woven fabrics: Tightly woven fabrics offer better UV protection than loosely woven ones.
Wear a wide-brimmed hat: A wide-brimmed hat can protect your face, neck, and ears from the sun.
Wear sunglasses: Sunglasses with 100% UV protection can protect your eyes and the skin around them from sun damage.
4. Other Tips:
Protect your lips: Use lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from sun damage.
Avoid tanning beds: Tanning beds emit harmful UV rays, increasing your risk of skin cancer and other skin damage.
Regularly examine your skin: Check your skin for any new moles or changes in existing moles, which could be a sign of skin cancer.

EIGHT TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR SKIN;
1. Wear sunscreen every day.
A good sunscreen protects against harmful UVA & UVB rays that cause sunburns, dark spots, wrinkles, premature skin damage and skin cancer. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
2. Exfoliate regularly.
Exfoliation helps remove dirt, blackheads, and dead skin cells. Also promotes cell turnover, stimulates collagen synthesis, boosts circulation and rejuvenates the skin. Try to gently exfoliate 2X per week but avoid rough wash clothes & loofahs.
3. Wash your face every night
Never head to bed with your makeup on. Just as you brush your teeth at night, you should make washing your face before bed a daily habit. Whether you have regular, oily, dry, or sensitive skin, our Online Shop offers just the right cleansers for you.
4. Make healthy food choices
Diet plays a huge role in your overall skin health. Fresh fish, healthy fats, and fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins, nutrients, and skin-loving antioxidants. Skip the chips and sweets and opt for raw vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, avocados, oranges, and blueberries as healthy snacks.
5. Stay hydrated
Hydration is another important factor for good skin and overall health. You lose water in large amounts every single day through sweat and urination. Drinking plenty of water and limiting caffeinated drinks and excessive alcohol intake are healthy habits.
6. Monitor the temperature in your environment.
Hot air can dry your skin, especially in the winter when the heater runs continuously. Using a humidifier can help counteract the effects of forced air and indoor heat. Sitting too close to a heat source, such as a space heater, can break down collagen and thin your skin.
7. Remember your neck, décolletage, and hands.
It’s not just your face that's exposed to the elements. Gardening and washing dishes, exposure to chemicals, or just regularly working with your hands can take a toll, causing early signs of aging. Give your neck, chest, and hands some TLC by exfoliating regularly, using a good moisturizer, and applying sunscreen every day.
8. Get the right amount of sleep and exercise.
Skin cells regenerate more quickly at night and collagen, the protein responsible for helping your skin keep its volume and elasticity, is produced as the skin cells regenerate. Ever notice how radiant your skin looks after exercising? It's caused by an increase in blood to the organs, including the largest organ in your body... your skin. Exercise also helps reduce stress which can trigger skin conditions like acne, eczema or psoriasis.
