In the hair world we measure hair in levels starting with level 1 being black and level 11 being ultra light blonde (see chart above). See the blonde in the picture? She had a natural level 7. If you have a level 1-6 to start with you will need to keep in mind that this may not happen in one appointment.

There is a multitude of reasons as to why you can’t have blonde hair in one appointment, and most of those reasons are because of the laws of color. You can’t defy the basic rules of coloring without completely ruining your hair. No matter your natural color, going white requires MAJOR work. The darker the hair the more levels you have to lift through (the longer the process will take).

We can only do what your hair lets us‼️ No matter how healthy, hair hates all of the chemicals required to strip ALL of the pigment out. Bond builder’s can lessen that damage, but won't eliminate it altogether. Depending on the condition of your hair, going platinum means you will probably end up losing some length, you may experience breakage, and your hair’s texture may change.

TRUST YOUR STYLIST!!! If they tell you this is not achievable because of your natural level please take their word for it (believe me we know what we’re taking about).

Listen I’m not saying you can’t go platinum because you have dark hair, I am just saying if you decide to take on this journey there is a chance that even after all the HARD WORK and MONEY you still may not be able to walk away with that beautiful white icy hair you’ve always dreamed of. With that being said there are plenty of other tones of blonde to choose from that are just as pretty as platinum🙌.”
