This is the current view from my bedroom door, and what I’m about to tell you has had me crying for quite some time.

Six years ago I was in my first quarter of cosmetology school. I was thriving; ecstatic that I had found something I was so passionate about and I was going to be able to make a career out of it. I was constantly trying to learn new things and trying to better myself. March of 2020 I was finally feeling like I was starting to really succeed in the industry, my books were filling up, bills were getting easier to pay, it didn’t really matter that I was coming home everyday in more pain than I’d care to admit...

And then COVID... I was forced to shutdown and stay home.

The salons have since opened, yet I haven’t returned. I tried to return; but my overall health and other reasons, that are not going to be put out into the social media world, have kept me from coming back.

Today, I went into what was my second home since 2017 for the last time as a stylist, paid my last month of rent, packed, cleaned, and left; to return in the future as a friend and client.

I cannot thank Melissa and her family enough for giving me a home to do hair the past few years. Thank you to everyone who sat in my chair and trusted me with your hair. Unfortunately, this just wasn’t the path I’m meant to take in life.

I haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with this page yet, but who knows what the future holds.

Dear Clients, as most of you know, the governor has extended the stay at home order. With the four phase reopening plan, we are in phase 2, it is our understanding this will be reevaluated every three weeks, so as of right now, we are hoping for June 1!

We will not be rescheduling appointments until we have a definite opening date.

I truly struggled to write what's coming next...

At this time I'm unsure of when I'll be in salon next. If all goes well, it sounds like I get to be back behind the chair May 1st. But with all the craziness in the world, who knows? I will be turning off my online scheduling until things get back to normal.

Please know that I miss you all and that I'll keep you updated on any new happenings when they come about. I'm looking forward to getting back to taking care of y'all.

Earlier today Washington's Govenor released a new mandate that all salons be closed for at least the next two weeks to help combat the spread of Covid-19. In order to stay compliant and help reduce the spread of Covid-19, I will not be taking any clients and will be rescheduling anyone I currently have scheduled.
