Martin received his wings 7 years ago, and I plan on sharing this story every year.💕

In 2019, a life- loving man my brother met through his jeep community reached out with a special request.
Martin was diagnosed with cancer and was connected to myself and Elisa, (owner of Imagine Hair Studio), with the request for something a wild, bright and fun, wanting to change lives, but specifically to make a close friend feel better about losing her hair during chemo treatments while showing her she wasn’t alone.
So, Elisa dyed his hair HOT PINK and boy did it look awesome!
We didn’t know Martin on a close level, but I’ll forever believe people are meant to cross paths for a reason and touch lives without even knowing it.
I left that day feeling so uplifted by his positivity and listened to his stories for quite some time with tears in my eyes, as I’ve recently lost two family members close together from cancer, not long before this.
I’ve only met Martin once but that day I’ll never forget, and let me tell you he ROCKED the hell out of that hair!
Martin lost his battle with cancer July 26, 2019 but will forever be remembered for helping others.
What you can learn from strangers is powerful, maybe it has nothing to do with esthetics, but in some way I hope I help someone who walks into my room.
We TRULY never know what someone is battling and this is why my career is my calling- even if just for one hour of dedication to someone.

While it’s believed to be more genetic than from sun exposure, skin of all tones are at risk of developing skin cancer.☀️

Know the ABCDE’s of detecting possible skin cancer; be sure to book a full body screening with your dermatologist every 6-12 months, keep an eye on spots that are abnormal, grow in size or change over time, and ALWAYS remember to apply SPF every 30 minutes, wear SPF clothing, sunglasses, a large hat, and don’t forget overlooked places like the scalp, ears, lips, neck and feet for maximum protection.

💋3 tips for summer lips! Not all lips are the same, soft and polished puckers create the perfect base for good makeup application.
Here’s my top 3 tips for lip prep!

1) Sugar scrub- keep this sweet scrub on hand for dry and flaky lips, gently exfoliating removes dead skin cells for a smooth application.

2) Lip balm- once the scrub is removed, apply a nourishing lip balm or oil, choose hydrating ingredients to help restore moisture.

3) Primer- primer will help your lip color last a little longer and can reduce “bleeding” lip liner. I add an extra sprinkle of matte setting powder and apply lip color on top!
