1. Timing is KEY
Plan your spray tan at the right time. Avoid scheduling it just before an event where you might sweat or get wet. Aim for a day or two before to allow the tan to settle and develop fully. This prevents any mishaps or streaking if you accidentally get wet too soon after the session.
2. Clothing Choices
Opt for loose, dark clothing after your spray tan appointment. Tight clothing or fabrics that rub against your skin can affect the tan’s development or cause streaks. Dark clothing helps mask any potential color transfer before your first shower.
3. Touch-up Techniques
If you notice any unevenness or missed spots post-tan, don’t panic! Use a gradual tanning lotion or a specifically designed touch-up product recommended by your spray tan artist. Apply it lightly to those areas to even out the tan without overdoing it.
Accidents happen but if you follow the post-care, you’re unlikely to need this step!
