Let’s face it.. Starbucks already has the pumpkin drinks out, so fall is officially here whether the calendar agrees or not 🎃

There are 3 haircut trends already taking over my chair that most guys have no idea are trending yet. Whether you’ve got the length or not, there’s multiple ways to get you there!

1️⃣ The Mod Cut — growing out your length? A scissor cut (shear cut) with texture on top and a low taper so it’s never awkward in that in-between stage

2️⃣ The Modern Mullet — There’s multiple versions of mullets now. Less business in the front, party in the back and more… good hair. Completed with a taper or burst fade and shears so it grows in soft instead of shaggy. Rock it with texture or a soft flow

3️⃣ The Classic Gentleman’s Shear (Scissor) Cut — using only shears (scissors) to structure the timeless side part flow cut. Again, there are many versions of lengths for this cut as well as where to part. All are timeless and effortless

Puffy on the sides, flat on top, and no texture? Sometimes you don’t need a completely different haircut. You just need the right shape! ✂️

First time client came in wanting to work toward a textured mod cut, but we still need a bit more length before we can achieve the final look.

For this transitional haircut, we focused on:
✂️ Adding layers to contour the hair to his head shape
✂️ Removing bulk through the puffy areas
✂️ Creating texture + movement throughout the hair
✂️ Keeping length exactly where we need it for the grow out

The biggest mistake when growing into a new hairstyle is thinking you have to let everything grow. Certain areas need more length than others and shaping it along the way keeps your hair looking intentional instead of awkward 🤝
