Unfortunately, May will be my last month at PHG. Life has changed so much for me in the last couple of years, and I’ve decided that it’s time to pursue new opportunities.

Debby has me sitting inside wishing I was doing hair, but since I can’t, let’s talk about your hair instead 💗

•••wash your hair regularly. i’ve talked about this a few times, and i know wash day seems like a chore, but the pores on your scalp need to be cleaned just like the pores on your skin.

•••use professional shampoo. ESPECIALLY if you have specific needs. color treated, dry, damaged, or fine hair. i promise, professional shampoo and conditioner make ALL the difference.

•••deep condition often. most hair doesn’t get the hydration that it needs through typical conditioning. for extra TLC, deep condition once a week, or every other week, depending on your hair type.

•••ditch your purple shampoo. i know this is controversial, but purple shampoo is so drying, and it strips your color. about four weeks after your blonding session, start using purple CONDITIONER as needed, and stop again at least a week before your next appointment.

•••don’t overuse dry shampoo. i’ve talked about this before, but dry shampoo clogs the pores on your scalp and doesn’t allow them to breathe or produce natural oils. try to limit your dry shampoo use to one time between each shampoo.
