Sometimes I write. If you didn’t know that about me, you can find it on Substack. The Wellness Witch Grimoire.

Years into learning my own genetic and cellular wiring, and I’m still amazed how much more there is to find. Still unraveling layers I didn’t know were there.

Comment SUBSTACK for this week’s piece. 🖤

ADHD isn’t a willpower problem. ⚡

You’ve been told to try harder. To plan better. To just sit down and do the thing.

But you’ve been trying harder for years. The reason it hasn’t worked isn’t because you’re not trying. It’s because the protocol was never built for the brain you have.

Your ADHD is usually 4 different things at once.

→ Brain chemistry running on the wrong fuel
→ A brain wired to seek stimulation
→ Histamine quietly inflaming your focus
→ Sleep that isn’t restoring you

And your genes decide how loud each one runs in you 🧬

This is the wiring underneath everything you’ve been told to fix with willpower. It’s why two people with the same diagnosis can need completely different support.
The good news? Your brain is responsive when you give it what it actually needs.

Not willpower. Not hacks. Real fuel for the system you have.

I made you a free guide that walks through the four, the gene patterns underneath, and what actually moves the needle.

If you’re in perimenopause and your labs keep coming back normal. You’re not overreacting.

You’re under-supported at the genetic level.

The difference between breezing through this transition and feeling like your body is working against you lives in the genes. How sensitive your cells are to estrogen shifts. How efficiently you metabolize and clear it. How your stress response handles the fluctuation.

Some women have a smoother ride. Some feel every shift like a freight train. That’s not weakness. That’s wiring.

Knowing your wiring changes everything. You stop trying random things and start supporting what your body actually needs.

There was a point my hair wouldn’t grow past my shoulders. I just thought this is the way it is.

It was none of that. It was a downstream signal. My body whispering that something deeper was off. Nutrients. Stress. The way my DNA was actually metabolizing what I was giving it.

Once I stopped treating my hair and started decoding what my genes needed? Everything changed.

Comment GENES for the report that decoded it for me. 🧬

Real talk: I love a good medicinal mushroom. Reishi, cordyceps, lion’s mane. My coffee has relishing mushroom in it. But they have their place.

But I can’t tell you how often I see people stacking adaptogens, chugging cortisol-lowering teas, and still feeling wired-tired, puffy, and exhausted.

Because cortisol isn’t the problem. It’s the response.
The drivers? Skipped meals. Sugar crashes. A nervous system that hasn’t felt safe in months (or years). Sleep that’s “fine” but not restorative. Pushing through workouts your body is begging you to skip. Gut stuff. Mold. Stealth infections.

Here’s the thing, even the best mushrooms can’t do their job if your body is still being hit with the same stressors on repeat. They’re support, not a substitute for getting to the root.

You can’t supplement your way out of those. You have to address them.

And the fastest way I’ve found to know what your body actually needs? Your genetics.

If you react to everything: food, supplements, detox, light, smells, temperature, stress. Your body isn’t broken.

It’s perceiving danger at the cellular level.

The biggest source of inflammation in a sensitive body isn’t pathogens, mold, or parasites.

It’s the mitochondria themselves.

When mitochondria are stressed:
ATP drops. Histamine rises. Glutamate rises. The nervous system becomes more reactive.

So when you go in killing pathogens, mold, biofilms. You create more debris, more immune activation, more detox demand on a system already running on empty.

The nervous system is just as physical as your gut, your liver, your hormones. It’s the regulator underneath all of them.

Build capacity before you clear.

Start upstream:
Nervous system. Mitochondria. Cellular terrain.

That’s the foundation everything else runs on.

Comment GENES to understand your foundations at the DNA level.
