Beautycounter is working hard to get safe, non-toxic and effective products into the hands and onto Such a scary thought! The US only bans 11 ingredients vs.
As some of you may already know, I have recently embarked on a new adventure and I’m really excited to share with all of you! I am working as a consultant for a start-up company called Beautycounter. Some of you have probably heard me talk about BC before since I've been using their products for well over a year. I was super reluctant to join the social marketing world, but after some time (like,
half a year) and much thought and discussion I decided to join the mission in helping Beautycounter fight and "counter" the unregulated beauty industry.I truly believe in these products and the benefits they have not only for us, but for our children. I honestly had no idea the personal care product industry hadn't been regulated for 76 years (seriously!) and that brands can put whatever they want on their labels. the EU who bans over 1300! Beautycounter is leading the effort to make the necessary changes to the beauty industry and I am proud to be a part of this very important process. It's time we start caring as much about what we put on our bodies as we do to what goes into our bodies! Beautycounter is all about getting safe products into the hands (and on the bodies) of everyone. The products are not only safe, but they also actually WORK and it helps that they are beautifully packaged too. Beautycounter makes everything from skincare/body/kids and has an amazing cosmetics line. I know many of you have families of your own, and so it is a great time to start to think about what products are safe not only for you, but for your little ones. Beautycounter partners with 3 amazing non-profits too - EWG.org,The Breast Cancer Fund, and Healthy Child Healthy World, because after all, it's all about making this world and everything in it safe for our children!
