Albin's Barbershop

For those that haven't gotten around to getting a new calendar for this year, found one you might enjoy. It features cute little cats that enjoy their time out in Oregon with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Enjoy and have a safe and warm weekend.

Just wanted to take the time to wish all of you a Happy New Year! May you only find wonderful things for the new year. Thanks to all the people that made 2022 a great year for the shop and our family.

Merry Christmas to everyone! I will be taking next week off to enjoy some time with family and will return to normal hours after New Years. Have a great holiday and enjoy yourself.

Oh, and remember Die Hard is a Christmas movie. 🤣🎅

I would like to give a big “thank you” to the wonderful Christmas elves that came by the shop yesterday and cleaned off our driveway. YOU ROCK! Again, thank you so, so much. It is very appreciated. 😀

Just wanted to let everyone know that the barbershop will be closed tomorrow, 12/22/22, due to our impending doom via snow storm. Depending upon the level of complete destruction, I will make a decision regarding whether I will be open Friday sometime tomorrow. Stay safe and warm.

Long post sorry...

Hello everyone! Well, finally some good news. As of yesterday, the Governor has moved to the next phase in the reopening of Kansas which will allow the shop to open beginning next week.

First, I would like to thank everyone that purchased gift certificates through WamegoStrong. I have all the information and will be able to provide either gift certificates to you, or you can maintain a balance at the shop and use it as we go. Your choice, I am happy to do it either way, just let me know.

I wanted to let everyone know how I intend to get things going again. The barbershop will be operating, at least temporarily, on Tuesday to Saturdays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. It will be appointment only, no exceptions. I will need to limit the number of persons in the shop. Also, I will not be taking any children under the age of six, for now. They tend to run around and touch lots of surfaces and I won't have time to disinfect everything in the shop with the number of people I need to get through the shop. Due to the number of people that will be wanting to get in, if you miss your appointment, I will be happy to reschedule you but it will be after all my other appointments have been taken care of first. Finally, please be on time, I will be disinfecting and sanitizing above normal standards and will need extra time between people to get this done. Masks, if you would feel more comfortable wearing one, please feel free to bring it along. I can cut around it without problems.

So, what do I need you to do? I will begin contacting everyone this Sunday and Monday to put the schedule together. If I don't have your number, or way to contacting you, please call the barbershop 456-8969, and leave a message so I do have your number. I will call you and set something up.

I will try to get everyone in as quickly as I can, and still be able to offer quality service. Please be patient and understanding. I have been closed for two months, so there will be quite a few people wanting to get in to the shop.

Finally, I am looking forward to seeing everyone again. It has seemed like an eternity. I am also looking forward to seeing how many of you did the YouTube home haircut. I will do my best to fix it. :-)

Take care, and I will see you all next week.

To all my friends, have a glorious Easter. Enjoy your family, stay safe and healthy, and I will see all of you again soon.

Interested in helping your friends and neighbor's during the Covid-19 crisis? I have some news for you.

Many may have heard already, but I thought I would put this out there for those that haven't. Wamego's businesses have had some awesome people step up to help out all of us in these trying times. They have created a website that allows you to go and purchase gift certificates to many of the local businesses in Wamego. When you do, you are helping in two important ways. First, you are providing some needed revenue for our local businesses, but you will also "buy one, give one". This happens as your purchases will be matched 100%, and the matched funds will be given to Community Care Ministries to assist those in need in our city.

So, please consider taking a look at the program. The website is https://wamegostrong.org/

Finally, a big "THANK YOU" from me, for everyone that has already purchased some gift certificates. Take care everyone!
