Reverse balayage + a fresh new cut for the winnnn

For this look, I used her existing lightness as her highlight and created a lowlight just a little lighter than her natural root—but darker and richer than her initial color. This helped blend out the harsh line of demarcation while creating the soft dimension she was craving.

The goal was to create a more natural-looking color with a softer, more seamless grow-out—without making her hair look flat.

We finished it off with a fresh cut that completely changed the feel of the look. The shape, the bangs, the layers 😍🤭 — it suits her vibe SO much better.

Sometimes you don’t need to add more lightness. Sometimes you just need to redistribute the dimension and find the right shape.

If you don’t know, the year these were taken was a WILD season of life for me. I was literally changing almost every aspect of my life! I ended an 8-year relationship, started living on my own for the first time ever, got into a new relationship (with my now husband 🥹), and that gave me the courage to finally end my 5-year relationship with a salon.

I started working at Suite Hair Studio , got a second job cleaning different business center’s , got engaged, almost moved to Oklahoma, got married a few weeks later, then had to sort through and pack up my old apartment before moving into my husband’s house. 🤪🤭♥️

So yeah… I was distracted, to say the least. 😂

Sooooo, if you notice the background looks a little different in these hair pics, that’s why! These were created during a completely different chapter of my life—but they were still created with all of my heart. ✂️♥️
