I have worked with many people over the years with various shoulder issues including frozen shoulder. I have also helped clients in their rehabilitation after shoulder surgery. Massage therapy can help with post operative pain as well as addressing scar adhesion and fascial restrictions before and after surgery.

Another issue to consider is that some people drop out of physical therapy because of the pain. This is the last thing you want to do. Physical therapy is so important to regaining full use of the affected shoulder. Instead consider getting massage after your physical therapy session to help decrease the pain and further enhance the benefits of PT. Less pain for you means an easier time in doing your at home PT work and completing all of your PT sessions at their office thus speeding up your recovery time.
