I'm just realizing I never posted this aside from on my story, and it's actually eating me alive. 😅

Behold, one of the most rewardingly tedious color transitions I've done in a LONG time! 🖤✨️

This peek-a-boo calico was from January, so 7 months of regrowth and fade-out.
Luckily we had utilized her virgin hair as the depth for the previous project, so it made for a far more predictable lift!
I went in and foiled the dark bits from mid-to-end, while also foiling the roots on the previously processed sections to prevent uneven lift later.
Followed by the roots, and pre-toning with 𝖈𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖒𝖆𝗗𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗬 Blow Me & a dash of Megawatt.
The final overlay was a mix of Megawatt, Ritual and Carnage, with a money piece of Ex-Girl from Good Dye Young that I happened to have on-hand.

This took around 4.5-5hrs from start to style, and was well worth the pain in my shoulders come the end. 🥹

I absolutely adore my clients, and every last one of their spunky ideas that I get the blessing and opportunity to bring to life 😭🫶

Okay, I had too much fun with this one!

As someone who used to loathe chunky highlights, I've learned to deeply appreciate the technique so much recently as a stylist.
The isolation.
The contrast.
Something about it just speaks to me on a spiritual level.

I think it's simply block sectioning of any kind at this point, it's been a top hit. 👻✨️

𝖈𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖒𝖆𝗗𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗬 Ravage & Carnage,
Cosmic Void Abduction for a root melt,
And O&M PRO CØR.color in Dusty Pink and for the base deep burgundy shade

Tackled a back-to-school/birthday hair miracle with my kick-ass nephew a few weeks back! 🤘💚✨️

After the chunk we did last time (purple and lime green) faded out, he decided he wanted to be fully blonde with some pops of green.
So I obviously had to oblige!

We now observe the results of 4.5/5 hours of foiling, toning, sectioning and vivid overlaying + all the processing times; these kids don't understand how lucky they are and how much I love them, because my back hurts. 🤣

I played around with some Cosmic Void shades for this project -- Mint Mushroom, Primordial Ooze & Jupiter. 🐍👽🧞‍♂️🦤🪲🦠🛸

Stay tuned for the results of my niece's revamp as well, her inspiration was "galactic." 🌌

Goooooooood gods, do I love my copper babes!! ❤️‍🔥

This is the PERFECT toasty, golden copper — with the softest hint of a cool undertone — for spring, as well as my client’s complexion!

At our first appointment we had incorporated this same shade as a peek-a-boo, while adding in soft dimensions with a lighter shade to melt into her natural color throughout the crown.
After some time with it, she loved the peek-a-boo so much that she just HAD to have it all over…and you know me, I will ALWAYS deliver!
Additionally, we touched up her layers and face framing to reinstate that incredible movement in her tresses. 🙌🏻

I also am obsessed with the fact that copper is no longer being seen as an autumn-only staple, but embraced as a year round hot commodity! 🤌🏻✨
